How do you make a mini crown?
I don't make props very often, so can anyone tell me how to make a simple miniature crown. I have some pipe cleaners lying around, and some beads. Any helpful tips?

I start with a bunt cake pan and then get out the tin snips, you could do the same thing with a single tart pan. Then how would you make tarts for the tea party?

» The community is actually at a different URL. Here it is, in case you already didn't find the community. Here are the two crown tutorials.

or...you can take the easy way out and modify one of the old-school crown air fresheners...like one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Crown...spagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CROWN...spagenameZWDVW I found one at a yard sale for a whopping $1, yanked out the smelly part, aged it with darker acrylic paints and wipes, and added pearls, jewels, and a crushed red velvet insert. It's relatively easy to attach to ribbons or, better yet like I did, a headband. I used wires...and a little patience. Here is mine: http://images.cosplay.com/photos/10/1065845.jpg Last edited by a-tastic : 04-28-2007 at 01:29 AM. |

Random note: I didn't know those crowns in cars were air fresheners...(>_<) Learn something new everyday.

It looks very much like some of the crown designs Vivienne Westwood uses, and those things are ALL OVER the G&LB.
