I've been attending London Expo for around four or so years now with my partner and various friends. To date I've cosplayed in just a winter seifuku (first time at London Expo, hurhur), a sweet Lolita ensemble, as Near from Death Note and twice as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'll be cosplaying (sort of crossplaying?) as Mariya Shidou from Maria Holic in May at London Expo this spring. C: I tend to only attend the May Expos now, to avoid the cold.

I've never had a problem with cold at Expo in Oct. I was boiling last year, wearing a rubber mask and full body lycra suit. Still beats ski mask and leather gloves in the summer though.

But yeah I'm Ryan, 18, Suffolk and go to college in Essex. Is it me or are there a lot of people here from Essex or East Anglia in general?

To be fair, in May 2009 I was absolutely sweating my face off, but last year it rained so much that I spent the entire con indoors for the first time ever. o~o

But sadly, I have Raynaud's phenomenon so I'm a bit weary about being out all day in potentially freezing weather.

i know but i never seem to meet anyone whose interested in cosplaying or anime in general

Hi all, I'm Rosie, 19 year old photography student from Surrey. This is my fourth Expo I've attended with my epic brother who loves cosplay just as much as I do! My friends and I have formed a Cowboy Bebop cosplay group which will comprise of Spike, Faye* [me ], Jet, Ed, Ein and Vicious. We're staying in the London Docklands Travelodge. If you happen to see us wandering around the hotel or at Expo on Saturday/Sunday, don't be afraid of coming up to chat with us- we'd especially appreciate hanging out with fellow CB fanatics!

*I'm wearing her Casino get-up, not her usual yellow number.

<3 and capital letters indeed, haha! Please feel free to snap away (and if you do, let me know of your Flickr/DevArt/wherever you'll most likely put them up so my group and I can see them ). We'll be checking in on Friday at around 6pm-ish, so if you see a group of six people entering that might be us Though we won't be in costume 'til Saturday morning obviously. Hope to see you there too, man!

Hi everyone, I'm Angela, a 33 year old web designer from Surrey. My other half and I went to our first cosplay event at the MCM Expo over bank holiday weekend, and we had a great time! You might have seen us wandering about - I was dressed as AC Tifa Lockhart and he was Ezio Auditore.

I got a great snap of the Cowboy Bebop group btw - it's one of my favourite anime series, so I couldn't let that one pass.

Hi Angela, I'm glad you both had a great time, it was a Fab atmosphere there as usual. Did you get outside the Excel where the steps and the open square is? Cosplayers just chilling and having fun around this whole area. The sun shone for quite a while on Sunday too. It was just lovely.
