LOL.. everyone makes a huge mess with this but me. The first time I did it I got a little rice on the floor, but the vaccuum handled that easily. You guys are scaring people away from my method =P And even if you do make a mess, sweep it up. It's not like you have to do this every time either =3 Heck, do it outside ^^

No; I'm not trying to scare anyone away... I do however want to tell people that the silicone is not very cost effective because if your pioneering in molding and casting... Mucho $$$

But I think that the rice balloons are the most obtainable, least costly, you can make them in MINUTES not weeks like my silicone ones AND if you ruin them... your not out of much in money or supplies...

Rice falsies definitely get my vote!!!

oh, plus they warm up to your temp........ silicone is soooo chilly.. hehe

I know, strange subject... but it's fitting =3 As a guy, especially one with very low body fat, creating cleavage is difficult. But, when you have a want to do characters like the one below, it's a big challenge.

Now understand, I don't want them THAT large.. ^^;; But believable is what I'm aiming for. The only thing I can find along the lines that I would need, is what I tend to call a "boob vest". Which is linked to below:

The problems with this is that it looks kinda cheap, and I'd have to match it to my skin tone once I got it. That's if I CAN do it once I've bought it.. and if I try and fail, I couldn't return it. And by the way it's cut, it seems to be aimed for things like keyhole dresses.

I know squat about making things like this.. I've never really sculpted or casted, or anything. I've always been a 2D artist. So preferably I'd like to buy something to fix this... but, I'm not adverse to learning. But, sculpting a chest wouldn't be easy for me.. and casting a pair.. well.. I don't know anyone who would let me. ^^;

The outfit looks like you can just stuff some fake breasts... unless you really want the cleavage aspect. ^_^; I know most girls could wear that and not have cleavage, anyway. x_X

wow by far the most *cough* erm interesting item I've seen today. heh you're one dedicated crossplayer and i agree with Michi that just stuffing should be able to work ^^;;

Well, it's not just this costume.. I've had to skip other costumes I wanted to do because they had cleavage showing. So I'm looking for a "cure most" solution, because I know there's no cure all ^^; But, to me the fake breasts won't work.. I mean, they're seperate peices.. putting them on your chest doesn't magically make seeable boobs. I'd have to know some theater/movie make up to make them seamless... and if I knew that much, odds are I'd know how to just make a better boob vest. ^^;;

Stuffing wouldn't cause cleavage, but it would look fine, I think. I guess the cleavage aspect is important to you if you've turned down costumes because of it. ^_^; So forget that point.

How realistic do you really want it to be?

I had something in mind if you didn't mind them being unrealistic. ^_^; Considering that I have boobies, finding alternatives never really cross my mind, heh. XD; But I'm sure someone else can be much better help. o.o

Yeah, boobies can get in the way for boy characters...my poor sister had to really bind her's down for a Hotohori costume...she hurt for days after that...

Too bad I know of no way to color liquid latex into I skin color. -_-' Maybe a rubbery product would work? I found an article called 'manufacturing seamless rubber products' and it talked about liquid latex, but I feel way to weird to post it. -_-'

Hrm...maybe try (and no laughing) getting a water bra and then buying extra inserts for it, and depending on how low cut the dress is, you can always use make up to shadow your skin to make it look like ya have more than you do...or in your case, any at all ^_~. The make-up shading technique is cheap and fairly easy too; I would suggest using bronzing powders if you want to explore that avenue.
