I was planing on making Haku's costume from Spirited Away but I can't find pictures of him anywhere.
So...I was wondering if anyone maybe had or knew of a place that would have really good reference pics of him! ~Rei2Rei |

Cool, cool. ^_^ I'm thinking about cosplaying as Chihiro at Otakon. Have any of you made her costume yet? I mean the bath-house costume, not her regular clothes.

OH FYI, the shoes she wears are remarkably close to Sugar brand shoes. i dont htink they sell them in stores anymore. but you can look on ebay fo them. the last i saw some green ones like the ones she wears in the movie were on ebay for about 20 dollars. i've got 4 pair of them in various styles and colors. they're great and really soft. also, see if there are any sites selling inu yasha costumes, the bath house chihiro costume is the same.

Thanks for the tip about the shoes, Shampoo!
You're right.. her costume is very similar to Inu Yasha's. I hadn't thought of that before. ^_^ |

le oh hoooo, here's a site i snatched off another thread. the poster said that its not the exact inuyasha sotume but just use the red and white fabiric and its basically the same. you can use it for chihiro's bath house outfit. it also tells you how to make it to your specific size and what not. browse around on it.

My mom and I were wathing SA the other day and I pointed out Chihiro's bathhouse costume as one that I wanted to do for Ronin-Con this October. She suggested altering a Scrub top pattern for the split sleeves... you'd basically just have to change the nick of the scrub top... I'm not sure if that helps, but there's one of the ideas that I've had presented to me on the subject.

Ali the Nearsighted Avenger made our Spirited Away costumes from scratch. they are rather simple when finished, but a skank to make a pattern for, I imagine. She knows how they were made best, but the highlight of these costumes is a built-in waistband with elastic casing in the top so the costume stays closed and shaped properly, while the waist and above opens for shimmying in and out. The haku shirt was made of very stiff upholstery or decorative fabric, and though looked crisp and stiff, smelled horrid when ironed.
The pants were a pair of elastic-waisted pjs with side vents cut into them. Easy! |

Nice! Is this Ali on the forums? Do you think that they might be willing to take another commission for the same series? Well, at least another Haku costume and a Chihiro costume. I'd also like some help finding out where I can get some shoes like Chihiro's. I did a search on the forums and got no matches. I'll continue to look, but if anyone knows of a site that might help I'd greatly appreiciate it! Thank you! |
