And to those of you celebrating today:  Also I'm very excited. So far I've gotten $50 cash and a $25 Michaels gift card which are both going towards materials for Designer Rapunzel!  So excited!! I'm actually going out with my friend Linda (who's my Jasmine for the group) to buy some materials! Yay! |

So excited. I might be going out with my Rapunzel on Friday to get materials for my Relly. Hopefully my gloves and shoes arrive before then so that I can match the gloves to the hip and skirt puff material. XD

I am here for some help. I need some advice about my Rapunzel costume, I have no idea how to do the pattern on her skirt. I can't embroider it, because I don't know how to embroider and can't learn in the near future. I'm not sure how to make it look good, or right. Help?

FinalFantasyxKH ~ There's a few girls who have painted it on. They made a stencil. You can ask around to see if someone has one you can use. :3
SOOOO today has been a super awesome Disney filled day! Without going to disney xD. Went to Joann's and got most of my fabric for Designer Rapunzel...OMG I FOUND PLEATED FABRIC. For that weird thing that is between her dress and the waist cincher. I just have to dye it. I decided for it to go more with the art than the actual doll though..there's quiet a few things I don't like about it but they're very minor. I also got the rhinestones for the cincher. :3 aaaand when I was at Forever21 today I found one of those awesome disney sweaters! The beauty and the beast one! It was the last one and in my size. I'm wearing it right now and it's sooooooo comfy! But anyways. I'm off to play around with makeup and find a look I like for this costume!~ |

Thanks guys! Another question....affordable Gothel wigs....my mom and I are doing Gothel and Rapunzel (which I think is SO COOL cuz she's my mommy ^^) but she doesn't have a wig yet.

Korii- Love the Rapunzel dress. Too cute.
 Poddy- Love the pics. Sasha- I love that Robin Hood group. They whent to the same con I go to every April and I got to see their costumes up close. They had the rooster minsteral with them, if I remeber correctly, and the pics do not do the costumes justice. Beni- Love the costumes. Great poses with both. Scarlet- Your Vanessa is looking good. Can't wait to see the finished product. Merry Blelated Christmas to everyone. This Christmas has been a rollercoaster ride for me. I got a stomach virus on Friday evening and it knocked me out most of Christmas Eve. I got back from Christmas Eve service, which I thankfully managed to make it through, only to get a straight pin stuck throught the top of my pinky finger. I managed to get it out and hopefully It's not infected. Looks o.k. so far. I woke up Christmas mornign felling well enough to go to church and had some Christmas dinner afterwards before my stomach virus reared it's ugly head again. Fourtunetly it has completly passed through my system and was able to eat today, but ugh. Of all the time to get sick. Oh well. It proabaly doesn't help I work at a toy store and have been working non stop. Despite everything I had a good Christmas and I can't really complain. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish up my Designer Rapunzel for Saturday.

LadySasha - Wow! Sounds like you had a great find! Also, what is this pleated fabric? That sounds really useful. Can you take a photo of it?
FinalyFantasyXKH - I painted my designs on an original skirt. its really easy and looks nice. The biggest thing for me was finding the right colors. I ended up not actually using it on my final skirt though.... Also, for Mother Gothel wigs try www.wildcatwigs.com. They're high quality wigs and pretty inexpensive. I've gotten all my princess wigs from there. For gothel my friend had been partial to their Stephanie wig and Diana Ross wig. Also, I got the Disney game for XBox Kinect! Its so much fun! its made for young children, but as we're all children at heart I'd definitely recommend it! You get to meet all the characters, learn Princess dances, interact, go on fun minigames.... Basically its like going to Disney but without the waiting! Finally am going to have time to work on my costumes! I can't wait! Cinderella here I come. |
