Naked Snake/Big Boss

Hello, everyone. I've been wanting to make a Naked Snake/Big Boss costume. The part I'm having trouble with ( and feel free to laugh at me, if you'd like ) is the harnesses that he wears.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to make those out of. I was thinking about using straps from shoulder-bags ( or laptop cases....something like that ) but I was wondering if anyone had a better idea.

Also, does anyone know where I can acquire the pouches on his waist?

Nevermind about the second part. I found buttpacks and ammo pouches online. For those of you who may be looking: http://www.imsplus.com/ims1c.html

Probably better off hitting the video game subforum. I think they have a lingering Metals Gear Thread

Yeah, it took me a while to realize that I had actually clicked on the wrong subforum. Sorry about that.
