I agree with the Hare Hare Yukai skits as well. Also yaoi-related Naruto skits, Death Note, and dance offs. Way too many dance offs.

Is the SNL version of Celebrity Jeopardy! overkill? I'm willing to bet that someone will do a skit involving "the president of the New York School Hard of Hearing".

The numa numa song has been used alot to. I am not sure if a good skit is when people start playing music and dancing to it. Especially if the song goes on forever.

Well, it was done in an AMV (which I adore), but I don't really see it working for a skit unless you only use a little bit of the song in a very clever way.

Musical-type skits are kinda hard to make work... there's really only a few ways you can do it...

I think that it's really easy to be hard on skits. I've been in a few, and let me tell you, it takes months to come up with ideas. My cosplay group spends a good 5-7 months chatting about it and bouncing around ideas (we usually start right after the previous Con..). We actually worked for a good 2 months on our flag and fan dance for Anime North 2007, and the hard work payed off. We're doing something along those lines, as in a dance. However, we've been working on it for a couple of weeks already. I guess I'm trying to say that I agree - skits with dancing and music can work well, but you have to be willing to put a lot of work into them.

I would also like to add one of my pet peeves - unintelligible skits. No matter how much prep or work you put into your skit, if I can't hear it, it won't work.

I don't think I saw anyone mention "Go ninja go" skits. I have seen like 20 of these. uuuuuuug I loved the song in TMNT but not hearing it in over 20 Naruto skits. I like the first 5 I saw it in and then I was done. please spare me

One Pirates who don't do anything has also came up for a skit idea. I only see the amv's of it on youtube. So would we be boo'd and shot for doing it?

Another overly done skit variation on the "Boot To The Head - Phoenix Wright" thread.

Candy Mountain. As one poster said "It was so TWO YEARS AGO."

I know this thread has been quiet for a while, but I am going to cry if I have to watch another 'HAY GUYZ WERE MAKIN FUN OV THA DUB LOLOL' skit. Yes. Some shows, when dubbed, sound absolutely hilarious. That's part of what makes this kind of fandom so awesome. But just...enough already, okay? We know this. I think Naruto skits are the worst for it (heck, any 4kds skit, really), but it's pretty much a general thing.

I'd like to see more well done dramatic skits.
