Anyone going to this girl-love convention? ^.^; www.yuricon.com
I would really like to go, and I would really like to do a yuri-themed cosplay skit ^.^ But I don't know what to dooooo!
Plus, its like 2 weeks after Animazement O.o But i still want to go!

Yaoi-con does the same thing, doesn't it? i think it's the porn-aspect O.o sex = hentai = bad for minors? I dunno O.o

*sigh* I wanted to attend yaoicon last year, but it fell through because no one I knew would go with me (and the rare few who would were underage LOL) and while I am still curious and would enjoy attending either yaoicon or yuricon, it shall not not be until next year when said friends come of age.

I'll be 18 by yuricon.... but my wallet will still pull me back. College is like Dracula. But instead of sucking blood, it sucks money out of your bank account.

Yeah, I have to admit I'm very curious about those cons too... but probably not curious enough to spend the money on travel to find out. Plus, it's right between Akon and AX... Someone who goes next year must report back to everyone else! XD

Hmm... when is Yuricon... heheheh... Wait, that's the one that coincides with AMA, isn't it... *checks the schedule on FansView* ...Yep. As enticing as yuri is, I'd rather go to a non-hentai-ish con ^_^;;;

I think it's silly. Both Yuri & Yaoi Con should have seperate badges, one for minors (signed with parental/guardian permission) and one for 18+, all with ID... and the ones with 18+ badges can get in certain video rooms and panels and etc. I went last year, was able to see the dealer's room, a panel, the art hall, and closing ceremonies -- and there was NOTHING that a minor shouldn't've seen/heard. It's darn silly, and annoying, because my birthday is in December which means when I do turn 18, I have to wait for the FOLLOWING year's YaoiCon to actually attend as a member. GROWL. [/rant]

I don't really want to go because of the hentai aspect (ex. "LESBIANS hur! maybe i'll see sailor scouts hurhur!!"). I just like Shoujo-ai and stuff, and think it would be FREAKIN COOL to be in a room full of people that liked the same thing

Ill be there... its 30 min from my house, heehee... either in the Lulu costume I wore at AXNY, or my new Deedlit costume I just finished making!! I was thinking of some kind of Record of the Lodoss war skit w/ female characters to join me... but Im kinda dry on ideas.. if anyone wants to join me & is wearing a costume from ROLW other than Deedlit, let me know!! ^_^

But I won't be 18 for another 1.5 years... It'd be so awesome to go and enjoy shoujo-ai with other fans. Unfortunately none of my friends enjoy it like I do so I'm kinda deprived of it.

I think it's rather rediculous that you have to be 18 to go to Yaoi/Yuri cons.. it's not like teenagers don't get exposed to homosexuality..

Hey, I like chicks, and I'm only 15. So GRR to them. ;_;

I'll be 18 in April so I'm good to go...a few people I know wanted to go but I dunno if they'll definatly be going but I'll be there ^^

I am not sure if I will cosplay or not though.
