Exclamation Daenerys pyre skit help

Guys I need your help! We're doing a Game of thrones cosplay and Skit for one of the upcoming conventions and we want to recreate the classic Pyre burning scene. (here's a link for those who aren't familiar with it)

We can craft the pyre and what we want to do is make it as epic as possible. However there's one huge problem with what we want to do - the fire. How do we make the pyre burn? The convention obviously won't let us start a real fire on stage,so does anyone have any ideas on an alternative way we can fake it and make the skit possible? Huge thanks to anyone who has any ideas to post.

Can you use moving lights or a projector? I would research different ways fire is done for theater and pick one which can be done with your resources, but light (maybe in conjunction with a fog machine) is the one that first occurs to me, if that's a possibility for you. Or, a fan with silk which could be blown up when the flames rise (similar to those fire bowl things you see around halloween) I think those are usually lit from below.

Box fans held by helpers, blowing up sheets of very light fabric. Plus colored lights. I like the idea but for this to look like a pyre or any type of big, dramatic flame you're going to need more fabric and more people than you think. I'd estimate at least four, ideally six people with fans and about two and a half yards of fabric for each.
Workin' on:
Tom Petty [Final Fantasy XV] (9%)
Bondage Finch [Bondage Finch Adventures] (12%)
Your Mother [Debbie Does Dallas XXIII] (8%)
