Hello, I think this is the right place to post this!
I was the main choreographer for this performance. I put together most of it except for the fight scene.
I thought we had a pretty good performance this year. We didn't win anything, so I'm wondering, how can I improve on it?
Video Here Please
Which parts are sloppy? Was the beginning too lacklustre? The best parts were during the end- should I have put something flashier in the beginning to space it out?
...Was it not Code Geass-y enough?
What does a winning entry have that this performance lacked?
I'm going to talk about the limitations of it real quick. One, the fighters didn't have enough time to practice, due to commutes, so next time I'll be sure to clean it up. That is something I can work with.
But mainly, not everyone is a dancer/martial artist/gymnast. There are actually only three people on stage who are actual performers- me (Kallen), LeLouch-Sayako-in-disguise, and Xing Ke (blue vest guy). The rest have never even taken "Dance PE" or anything, and I had two weeks to put them into shape. So that's something that I'll have to work with in the future that I can't really help. ^^"
Also, while I'm here, Chinese dance people! Can you critique my performance? I was Kallen, soloist with the red fan. I know I'm definitely not even close to "eh, amateur," but I'm trying to get better.
