Buying a Sewing Machine in Japan

I just moved to Tokyo from America, and I really need to buy a sewing machine here. I dont know where to go, I went to Nippori, but all they had was one Husvarna Viking and a Burnina.

All I really want is a small cheap sewing machine (really all i need is to do is straight stitches, nothing fancy). I'm only going to be in Japan for a year or so, so I dont want to invest a bunch of money on a sewing machine.

Thanks for the help!

I saw one shop in Shinjuku with many sewing machines, in fact I think it only sell sewing machines but I only saw machines on display there, where do they put the stock? It is very near to the JR. On the same street with that shop that sell fruits.

How do I explain it? If you exit from Shinjuku JR, walk towards the direction of Kabuki Ichi street, before it in one of the small street you should see that shop. But I guess there are many place that sell sewing machines as well in Japan.

i've seen loads of sewing machines in big electronics stores.

look for a best denki, or even yodobashi in akihabara may have them.
