Meet up for local cosplayers.

Hey, I thought it might be cool if we had a little gathering of the local cosplayers this year at A-fest. It would give everyone a chance to meet, make new friends, connections, etc. Everyone in the general DFW area is welcome to come. (:

Not much has been decided about what we'll do yet, but there will be a few games, dancing, and a small photoshoot.

Time: Sunday 3:00 p.m.

Location: The area in front of the ballroom where the Cosplay is held

Please post any ideas you might have, or if you want to come so I can get an idea of how many people will be there. Thanx! (>^.^)>

I'd be up for it, since I'm pretty much between the two cities. I may be able to convince a few others as well, but I'd have to talk to them (two I might not hear from til after Expo)... but there's always a chance!

Count me in! ^_^ I think we should all bring some board games to play or something! Like Pokemon monopoly, LIFE, Twister, card games, etc. =p

Okay, so far with everyone on the thread, and a few other confirmations, we're looking at about 20+ DFW locals, and it'll grow. I might start looking into getting a panel time for this.

We could just meet up at the 2nd floor of the con. Alot of room for farting around and such :] We should make a giant banner of "DFW Gathering!"

Honey Usagi-chi~ Banners and signs of the such are a no-go at A-FEST. Their policies are almost as tight as A-kon's. The DFW Cosplay society tried to have signs for their meetings, but some staff person swooped down upon us and confiscated it. Even after we had the go-ahead from someone else to use it. -_-;

Anna: There will be a board at the con that lists the gatherings/photoshoots so that will help out some.

As for the gathering itself, you can count me in and I have a great "ice breaker" for us to kinda get to starting general talk n' such ^__~ Other than that, I have no ideas really besides that, maybe depending on the day, time and location we can have snacks and what not

Hmm, thefinal's solution helps some. But really? You'd think they'd confiscate the signs that beg for money and stuff, but for that? Lameeeeeee-uh xD

The second floor sounds good, it would be a bigger gathering space than any panel room. And as thefinal pointed out to me, we could have food. :d
