Getting bangs without cutting real hair

I will be going to ConnectiCon as Tohru from Fruits Basket and my natural hair is the right color and almost the right length (just a bit short). The only problem I have is the bangs. Right now I have long, side swept bangs. I don't want to have to cut my hair to have her bangs.

Is there something I can do temporarily? Like pin my hair in such a way that it looks like bangs? I think I've seen that in Cosmo or Glamour before. Or do they have fake bangs you can pin into your real hair somewhere?

Any help would awesome. Thanks

I'm going to sound like a noob on this, because I really don't have too much experience in this. xD;;
Yeah, you could get bang extensions and just, sort of, pull your side-swept bangs to the side/somewhere. Well, you could first get the same colored extensions, then customize it into looking like bangs.

Or, as you've also mentioned, you could try bending your bangs (with a straightener?) to appear shorter and pinning them. But, I'm pretty sure that'll damage your hair. o_o;;
Sorry for the lack of help!
D;
Oh, and good luck!

I'm pretty sure there are places that sell string falls for bangs (Amphigory might? Check ebay) But I'm not sure how you'd add those to real hair...u less you find a way to thread it through your real hair and tie it underneath

you can sweep yer bangs up front then roll them up and under, y'know like a lolipop curl, then fasten the roll with hair pins so the roll is lengthwise across your brow.

My friend has something called 'clip-in fringe' which is just bangs, really. I'm not sure how they attach to her head, and I -think- she has to wear a headband to keep them in, but I'm really not sure. It's something to search for, though.

yeah, fake bangs are pretty easy to make yourself
you should try going to a beauty supply store or sally's
buy hair on a track ( used for weave )
and just measure the length across your forhead and cut ( do not cut the hair, leave it long )
pin in with bobby pins or you can be really fancy and buy wig clips and sew then on
pin them in SUPER tight, spritz them with water or hair spray and use a round brush and a blow dryer to curl them under
AFTER giving them a curl, lightly trim them to your liking
use verticle snips to cut the hair, it looks better and easier to control

hope that helps

Thanks everyone for your help so far! I think I'm going to try MissCarlyfornia's or vainvixen's idea.

I'd love to hear other options too, if anyone else still has them.

Dr. Locks sells clip-in fringe/bangs. It has two little bendy clippy combs in the seam; they're very easy to attach.

I don't know how long your bangs are, but I know if you curl bangs they become shorter.
