Help with a Cosplay Fursuit Character Decision!

I enjoy the cosplay community but I have little knowledge of the characters so I'm asking you all which cosplay critter I should do next (I've already done Red XIII twice).

My main needs are that I pick one which would still be recognizable as an upright fursuit costume and (as part of that) it's popular enough that folks would know who it is upon sight. Since I don't have any particular emotional attachment to the characters, I at least want people to know who I am after the effort of making the costume

Blue from Wolf's Rain
Tiger from Monster Rancher
Sora from Kingdom Hearts
Kero from Card Capture Sakura
Rayearth from Magic Knight Rayearth
A female Ronso based upon Kimahri Ronso from Final Fantasy
Alice from Bloody Roar
Uriko from Bloody Roar
Wolf Link from The Legend of Zelda

Anything else you'd prefer? I prefer not to do muscular male characters (my body shape isn't right for that) or ones with unrealistically huge body spurs (I wanna be able to move and sit) but female or more animal-looking ones are good.

Hm, have you considered any Digimon? A number of them have very humanoid upright shapes, and are usually instantly recognizable. There are also some interesting YuGiOh card monsters that might be doable.

As for the other choices, of all of those I think I'd say Kero or Uriko. Some of the others look kinda' plain and hard to recognize instantly (though that often doesn't matter. Any fursuit in an anime con is an instant hit.). Wolf's Rain wolves are especially difficult to make recognizable, since they're pretty plain. And I dunno about Wolf Link and Lion Sora. They seem to be the two most fave fan fursuits in the fur community right now, and almost seem too common. But then again, they'd also be really popular. Hm.

Have you ever thought about maybe Pikachu from Pokemon? I had a friend
who did an excellent job at cosplaying him at a convention this year. She's
also from this site. She made her costume in 2 weeks and believe me that
it was bloody awesome! Well seeing as you have a lot of good choices on
here already, I would second seeing Kero from Cardcaptor Sakura, there is
very few people I know who would ever cosplay as him and he's both such
a cute and cool character to do. Aswell as a Rayearth from Magic Knight
Rayearth would be very cool aswell. People would definitely give you that
"Hey, that's a really neat costume, you look awesome dude". And a big wow!

Beetlecat, I admire your work and would love to see your take on Lion Sora.
(Hell, I'd love to see you do my Anti-Form Lion Sora rendition, but that's not exactly recognizable, hahah)

KomoriChu's suggestion for a Digimon is also a great idea. Not enough Digimon cosplays out there, yet most of them would be very recognizable. Up to season 3 at least. Just give Wikipedia a look through. I've personally been looking at the evolution chains of Veemon, Guilmon, or Dorumon to find one to cosplay...

And Pokemon... welllll. Hahahah. Blaze.

Please do not touch Lion Sora...especially after the line about not having any ties to these characters...and the fact you're doing it for the entire purpose of getting attention.

...Thats mean.
Beetlecat I think a Lion Sora would be great to do! I haven't seen one. Kelala (sp?) from Inuyasha would be cool too!

*giggles* Thanks for the laugh

Of course I'm doing it for the attention! I make fursuits. You think I spend all that time on a costume just so I can sit at my computer alone?

Heck no! I go out and have a good time while at the same time making other people happy. Win/win! I have no ties to a zebra, but that's not gonna stop me from making a zebra costume.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Right now I'm thinking Kilala, Kero, Tiger, Sora or a digimon (there's so many digimons that I haven't finished looking through them all so I can't name a specific - there were some really cool ones though)
