for a certain cosplay i need blue eyes, but i dont want them for a long period of time i want to use them and be done with them. are there disposable contacts?

Indeed you can. I just purchased a book of two week disposable ones. So after wearing them for 14 days, you hafta throw 'im away. Keep in mind, there are 3 pairs per box.

Just a note, though - you will need a perscription for most of them, whether they're powered or not. I think it's a new law in the US, so I'd double check on that if it's potentially an issue

You wouldn't want to wear contacts without having your eyes measured by a doctor anyway - contacts which aren't sized correctly can potentially hurt your eyes.
When you go in to your optometrist, ask them to suggest a brand. I use Acuvue 2 color change contacts personally...

I use that brand, too.

Indeed! I've just had a lot of commissioners asking about getting contacts without having to go thru the exam, and whenever I tell them that they need the exam so they fit, they almost always reply "but they're just for a costume" *sigh*

So, better to point that out right away

I didn't go though the exam because I don't have insurance (never needed it -_-') and if I had, it would have cost at least $120 just to go in and get each eye measured. Not to mention the price of the actual contacts. My contacts have been doing fine so far.

Then again, the contacts I got aren't Acuvue and are softer than average contacts, so they kinda conform to your eyes then go back to their original shape once you take them out. Haha, so my sis ends up stealing them all the time.
