Kenshin costume advice
The costume I am really going after is the one when he is training with Master Sejiro, now, I am sure of the outfit, but unsure of how to go about making it, any advice?

all you really have to make is a hakama (there's a pattern url floating around the forums here, just search for 'hakama pattern' and you'll find it).
as for the top http://www.butterick.com/item/B6698....stumes&page=10 that might do it. but there's a few other patterns out there like that. just make the sleeves shorter.

This has a basic wrist covering that you could modify to look like that.
