hi i am adam, i am going as clay cliff fortran, from pilot candidate now i know there are many costumes, from that show and manga but i needed some advice,

i have a refrence picture. i have it from the side although, i have seen it from the front, i decided to draw it up, seeing i am a art major.

here is the type of costume i am going to do...

i dont have a scanner to upload my own drawing but you get the idea.


a couple things i need help with...


what fabric to use?

how to do the boots?

and good paterns for clothing?
or
if i should co and buy clothes to use?

i would prefer to make it myself, its way more dignifying.

also for the boots i was going to use white vans,(the big poofy ones ya know skate shoes) and do a 2 peice boot cover, ultimately making it a 3 peice boot.

i had made a monkey d luffy before, it didnt look to bad i hand sown the entire thing by hand, and i know how to use a mechine, but it was broken at the time.

the types of fabric i had in mind were white vinyl, and black coton, and i would use fabric paint for the GOA symbol, and velcro, and zippers for the vest and shirt and the boots and cuffs.

that was my idea anywho i though some one could give me some insight seing as there are alot of cosplayers out there.

this costume will hopefully daybeut at sakura con...
