Awesome, Norumu. Be careful if you do the shovel taunt, eh?

Medigun almost done, whee.

This is inspiring. Why am I wasting time on on the computer that I could be spending on making TF2 stuff?

hmm now that i am basically done with finals i can put more time into finding things that will work for the rest of my scout costume!

by the way we went undefeated in the TF2 tournament Saturday night BUT none of us dressed up because only a couple of us could of had something that would work so i guess we are just gonna try to get some of them done for Halloween instead...

i still need the:
messenger bag
headset
hat
shoes
belt/buckle
and even though i have the bat, i want to start mocking up a scattergun i think i have most of it plausible in my head but not sure how i am gonna do the stock of the gun yet so any suggestions there would be great!

PS. thats an awesome job on the helmet so far!

How are you planning on doing the barrels?

Paper/cardboard? Then make the stock out of cardboard. See this guy for some inspiration. (You used to be able to download the patterns, but alas, no more.)

If PVC, you can probably insert the stock of a toy gun into a PVC drain cap. Then, build out the rest. I'm sure there is a bracket or something at the hardware store to be the handle bit, beneath the trigger.

Wow awesome! (I've left you a suggestion on the photo's comments)

btw, if you are making the syringe-gun too here is a little idea to do the main part of it: http://www.centralcoast.com/rudolph's/images/utensils23.jpg
Just try to get a really cheap one.

People do some fantastic stuff w/cardboard, but yeah, paper towel tubes are a bit on the flimsy side. You might be able to find mailing/poster tubes in the right diameter.

I've made the armlets (with the proper insignias) and the blueprints (well, actually they should be called redprints XD)

Also I've finished the masks and some other documents for the briefcase.

Thanks for the idea! I poked around a bit online and am thinking of adapting a wizard stick inside the barrel of the MkII version.

Re: the syringe gun. It won't happen for Halloween, but I'd like to give it a try. That container you linked has a nice shape to it. Dunno where I'll put the final product, though, since the Medigun is a bit hefty.

Btw, to anyone looking for a pair of gloves on the cheap, these True Blues hold a real nice shape around the fingers -- they aren't saggy like other kitchen gloves.

Backpack is also all prototyped and going into final production, soon. Hooray for the game's commentary mode, which is great for taking screenshots.

Very quick update for my Soldier. I plan on having it finished much later today (1:40am right now! Wooo)
Just one new picture:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...g?t=1193290850

I have a lot more done than just my helmet and grenades. I have the jacket structured, the belt, grenade strap, the pouches for the belt.

All that's left is coloring and decaling the jacket, making pants and boots, and a rocket launcher! Wish me luck!

Wait.
That doesn't make any sense at all.

Good luck, mate! (Who needs sleep?) Your duct tape style fits in very well with that of TF2.

Nice redprints! You know, the spy is the only beta design I miss. Guess you'll find out who the early-adopter players are.

Okie dokie folks: Here's some mostly finished pics of my soldier (Rocket launcher needs lots of work obviously, I ran out of time for this event)
With me is my friend who's just trying out the duct tapeness and went for a demoman, being black. :P
