Anybody interested in going to a ball?

For the first time ever, Manifest brings to you a unique event which just expanded our weekend to almost a fourth day. Dubbed as AMARANTH, this is a dance ball which will bring to attendees of Manifest the opportunity to socialise in a wonderful night that is bound to be remembered. It will feature a dance floor, catering and some other events to keep the fun going all night.

Gah I suck, I wasn't going to be going... but decided that I deserved an extra-long holiday so I will be. I figure it's the first time it's on, so why the hell not?

I am cosplaying for the ball too. I am cosplaying as a character from a brand new anime called Sola - its also a manga.

You should tell him that they're not guys, they're 'otaku' which is much different.
That's a shame though, you can't find a guardian or some friends to be with you for the evening? Maybe you want to contact the organisers to talk to your Dad, and convince him that it will be a respectable event.

Lol. My dad wouldn't understand. He detests all guys and doesn't like me communicating with them -_- Anyway, I'll have a chat with him and see what he says

I really wish i could go to the ball, but its just too expencive and stuff, so i cant oh well, next year maybe.

^^ Hello thread readers i'm the events co-ordinator from Amaranth 2007, And its a huge success and the event will be back next year.
We are considering a possible new venue to host it and a new catering team.
The price was deemed reasonable by attendees and organizers as the ticket sales all went into paying off the venue, catering, secruity, insurance etc.
Hopefully for some who would like to go next year, you will be able to form Syndicates as it can be $5-$10 cheaper.
