ECC 1 year Anniversary get together!

OK everyone!!! ECC was established on November 18th 2006 by a group of cosplayers that wanted to share their hobby, learn from each other, hold photo shoots and get togethers, and just have fun doing what we love!!! Lets celebrate in honor of this memory!!! Any and all cosplayers/ photographers/ and fans are more than welcome to join in on the fun!!!

On November 18th 2006 I organized a photoshoot that had a Studio Ghibli theme, also know as Hayao Miyazaki films. (Examples: Howls Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Nausicaa) Of course with all ECC gatherings the theme is not a requirement and you are not required to dress up unless you want to. This year, to celebrate, we are going to do the same theme, and the same place ^.^

Why? - To celebrate ECC's one year

Veggie/Fruit tray - Jessie (bring what you like)
Chili, crackers, cheese- Kei and Tabatha
Chips, snacks - ???

Please, let us know if you are planning on coming so we can get enough food for everyone ^.^

Someone wanna make me a costume? xD I've love to come but I hate being unrelated to the theme or not wearing a costume at all. It's one of my 4 fears. >_< Bugs, dark water, things being thrown at me and something to do with forgetting a costume.

I've never seen it. =( I've only partially seen Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away *aw, Haku. Aw, CHIHIRO. SO CUTE.* And I don't have time or money to make a costume like that on short notice. I'm officially on a cosplay/money ban after busting Jill Valentine outta my butt.

Edit: On second thought I could do her if I watched the movie, got someone to make a cute dress and bow. I already have a wig and a broom stick. And I'd need Tabatha and Kei to gimme a lift again. That's going way too out on the limb tho'...=\

$8 parking.
After that, you can pretty much roam around anywhere for free.

Picnic areas are free and located near the entrance of the "Main attraction". You 'could' pay to wonder in, but I usually end up inside for free somehow (I have a really bad sense of direction).

It's best to drive in from the West Entrance since that's the "Main Drive-in" (where you pay your $8 to park and get a parking pass). If you go in this way, take a right turn and you end up on 'Robert E. Lee rd.'. The first parking lot on the left is the only parking lot, also known as 'Crossroads lot'. If you pass this parking lot, you will miss the turn around point and end up on a one way road AROUND THE MOUNTAIN.

If you turn LEFT at the WEST ENTRANCE, you will find that there is lots of parking and picnic area's, but seems very remote and secluded where the dead silence could only be broken by the birds in the trees. I don't suggest this area because it reminds me of 'Friday the 13th", you know, with Jason and his hocky mask.

tl;dr... parking is $8 and picnic is free.

Hah yeah, exactly, I don't currently have $8...>.> I have $25 on a Kroger gift card...that's it. I'm not allowed to use my mom's credit card as much as I had been using it, so all of my cosplay and food and supplies for school have been coming out of my own money...and I don't have a job...x.x

Yep, its $8 Cash ONLY to get into the park, but you are wrong about the Crossroads area. You have to pay the All Attractions ($17+tax) fee to get into the crossroads area after 3 on Sunday or else y'all ain't getting in. (Seriously, you can't sneak in or anything, my friend is over the barricades and I'm playing guard, I'll frikken jump you if you try to get in for free)

I dun wanna go near the Picnic area :/ We have over 800 picnic tables and over 3000 acres and everyone seems to go into one area .___.;; I was thinking either the nature trails on the back of the mountain, but since we're having a picnic we could try the Covered bridge and grist mill area. There are picnic tables scattered through out the woods in the back and there is a large covered area with picnic tables which is first come, first served.

I would kill to go to this. I really would, Mainly because I was there for the first shoot with you guys, I know I complain about transportation alot, but it's my main problem, and I haven't seen you guys in a LONG time, AWA was just a mess for me, thus why I Wasn't able to make it.

if anyone is willing to let me bum a ride, I'd be for ever greatful, but sadly, 4 of the other member now how shitty it sucks to drive to get me.
