I've never actually cosplayed before, and I'm sort of poking at the idea of doing it sometime next summer (after graduation).

Of course, I don't really have any idea where to start character-wise.

So here's me:

so I just just joined this site because well for one, I decided to man up finally start cosplaying and I was wondering who do you guys think should be my first character? I've already had a couple ideas but I just wanted other peoples opinion. I'm not willing to crossplay just yet and I wouldn't turn down a challenge for my first costume (just cause I'm that stubborn), but I think it would be better for me to start small and work my way up. I'm willing to wear contacts, wigs, makeup, heels (but I'm already pretty tall so..), anything! So yeah, here's some pictures of me:

I'm the taller one with the silver dress. That was last week so it's pretty recent.. My hair is done up there though so here's one of me with natural hair just incase:

Also, my new light pink wig came in the mail yesterday but I didn't have any character in mind when I bought it. I'm hoping it could versatile and I could use it for many characters. Could I get some suggestions for it?

Although the bangs are ridiculously long, I can always cut it so you can list any character that comes to mind; that would be great!

Just based off the wig:
Miyuki Takara from Lucky Star
Lucy from Elfin Lied, her hair is both short and long. So it would depend which verstion of her you did.

Greetings all. I was wondering who I should cosplay as for Anime Expo this year. I'm 6'0" with a 30" waist, willing to wear a wig. I'd rather not shave the goatee if I don't have to. I've done several cosplays in years past, but mostly very simple ones. I'd prefer something I could mostly piece together in a couple days from local stores.

Hey all,

I need advice on who to cosplay. This will be my first costume, so I'll need an easy and simple design. However, I'd like my facial features to complement the character so that it has a similar resemblance.
