I'll see if I can get any suggestions, I have a few that I want to try and do, but to get them completely accurate I'd have to get contacts and I'm very wary about that. So I was wondering if anyone could think of anything that might work with my natural hair color (strawberrry blond) and eye color (hazel/brown).

Hey, new Cosplayer here, planning on hopefully going to Comic Con and ACen this year and I'm struggling to find a character to go as, any help would be greatly appreciated. Characters from any medium and gender are welcome though id rather not have to shave, but if there is no other way I don't mind

I am female, 22 years old, white, and with brown hair and brown-green eyes. I'm 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and have an hourglass figure. I like some anime, but also love live-action film, DC, and Marvel. Sadly with the three cosplays I've always wanted to do, I look nothing like the characters (Jareth from "The Labyrinth", Harley Quinn "Batman", and Erik "Phantom of the Opera".) I'm open to other options, and would love to rock a cool cosplay and look good. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

I dunno off the top of my head, but you look a lot like Russell Brand to me. My first thought on your pic was Zangetsu from Bleach. Your face shape looks like Guybrush Threepwood from Curse of Monkey Island or Tulio from The Road to El Dorado.

You look a bit like Kiera Knightly.

Thankfully with phantom and Harley Quinn you can easily obscure your face. HQ in particular would be relatively easy, recognizable, and fun/comfy to wear. Your lips are actually very well shaped for Batman TAS version of HQ. Animated series Catwoman also works for your face shape.


I'd stay away from Jareth at all costs... as a first costume wig work, makeup and all the intricate details will be very difficult. Also jareth is one of those characters like jack sparrow etc where you absolutely must look like the character face and figure wise.

I'd check out Aizen Sosuke from Bleach.
You wouldn't even have to wear a wig if you went as him, and his cosplay is rather simple.

Over all though, go as whichever character you like the most or would like to cosplay as.
You'll drive yourself crazy if you try to cosplay only characters you look like.

You could check out Jubilee from X-Men.
She may not be the most memorable character from the old X-Men cartoon, but you would definitely stand out among everyone else.
