Hey guys! New cosplayer here.

London Expo October is coming up soon and I'm really itching to go! But I don't just want to go in my boring old clothes - I want to cosplay. Problem is, I've not got a clue what to go as! That's where you guys come in: suggestions!

Here are two photos of myself and some details.

• Female
• 5'2"
• A bit pudgy around the stomach (so any cosplay characters with bare midriffs or tight fitting suits are a no-go. I don't want to scare anyone!)
• Not fussed about cosplaying as a man or woman.
• Preferably video game characters, as I do not read many mangas/comic books. I do not watch many animes either (save for Ouran Host Club and Ristorante Paradiso).
• Examples of video games I like are: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Bioshock, Team Fortress, Monkey Island, Fallout and Mario Bros.
• BIG CHUN-LI THEIGHS

I hope there's enough there for some suggestions. Can't wait to hear them!

I know you dont like anime/manga,but you would make an adorable Osaka from Azumanga Diaoh.

Well maybe if you prefer video game characters you could be kh1 kairi. Your hairs the right length so if you were willing to die it maybe? But if not you could still buy a wig.

I want to cosplay other characters I only really do crossplay but want to try and cosplay a girl because binding is a PAIN lol.

My information:
Height: 5'10-5'11(not exactly sure if I grew an inc lmao)
Hair color: Brown (I prefer to wear a wig)
Eyes:Brown( I do wear and can wear contacts to change my eye color)
I don't like to show alot of skin def not my stomach.
I just turned 17 but if I can get away with cosplaying someone younger(usally younger boys look girly so if you have an idea of that sort tell me <3) or older then I will
I have piercings but I usally just take them out for cosplaying.

I think you'd pull off this one character really well/cute... can't remember her name right now but she's the main heroine from the Ghibli anime Spirited Away.

That's a good suggestion! I've not watched much of the anime besides the odd clip or so on YouTube, but she seems like she'd be very easy to pull off. Thank you for the idea!

I've thought of perhaps doing Kairi, but I'm not all too sure. The girl's got a lovely figure and I'm afraid my build is a little more stockier than hers D: Thanks for the suggestion all the same!

Oh, Chihiro, you mean? That's not a bad idea! I do very much love that film, I should have mentioned that I enjoy Ghibli work in my first post. I wonder where I could get an outfit for her character...

It's not that I don't like it - I'm very fond of a lot of anime movies like Paprika and the Ghibli movies - I just hardly have the time to watch any and most don't catch my eye :c . I'm interested to know more about this girl you speak of, though! Do you have any image examples of her at all?

Any more suggestions would be appreciated as I'm very much open to ideas! Thanks guys!

Weight: not sure, I think around 110-115lbs?
Eyes Color: Blue/Grey
Hair: Brown, goes to about the middle of my back
Build: pretty average; not skinny, not fat
Crossplay and wigs are fine, but contacts I'm a bit iffy about XD And I would really prefer costumes that aren't too revealing, but I might be willing to show a little extra skin if I really like the costume
I don't really mind the complexity either ^^

Kinda got to wondering about other potential cosplays to try, though I have a few ideas at the moment for future plans. Since the thread's here, why not use it? Maybe I'll get some ideas I hadn't considered before.

Relevant 'stuff':
*Male
*6'0"
*Actual hair is short and dark brunette in color, but perfectly willing to wear a wig (I have for every other cosplay I've ever done).
*I wear glasses for everyday use, but am fine taking them off during a con for a cosplay.
*I watch a wide variety of anime/shows, though ones with at least elements of comedy are preferable. Current favorites (as the list changes fairly constantly) include but are not limited to: Eva, Excel Saga, Pani Poni Dash, Slayers, Puni Puni Poemii, GTO, Azumanga Daioh, Hetalia, Futurama. As you can see, mostly comedy.
*Video games are a possibility as well, and some of the types of games I've enjoyed are: Fallout 3, Chrono Cross, La Pucelle Tactics, Eternal Sonata.
*Less cosplayed characters are nifty, but not necessary.
*Both cosplay and crossplay are fine, and I'm actually fairly interested in the idea of crossplaying at some point.

Normally wouldn't post here, since I've got like six cosplays I want to do in the future, but there's a con coming up that I'd like to cosplay for, and I can't spend much money and the only wigs I have are out of commission until after the con. So, if anyone has any suggestions based on the following criteria, that would be great:

-No wigs or dye, but I can do my hair in a number of ways;
-Nothing super difficult to sew, preferably something I could piece together from moderately regular clothing;
-Generally cheap and simple;
-Male or female is fine;
-Revealing is fine as long as I don't look like a whore
