well don't get too discouraged in general most cosplay pictures are photoshopped to be more perfect than they are even if it's just a quick soft airbrushing/small scale blending of the skin. But absolutely make sure that you wash your face at night before bed especially if you wear makeup or use face lotions or anything like that. make sure you only wash your face with warm water because cold water can close your pores making them harder to clean. Also, if you dry your face with a towel make sure you pat your face dry instead of wiping it. which can cause irritation. I've also been told that if you dab a tiny bit of minty toothpaste onto acne it will dry out faster having clean skin makes putting on foundation/concealer/powder much easier. I don't even generally wear foundation but stick to only concealer because it's less orange and much better at hiding flaws. always set with a matching powder and a little bit of blush can make your face look so much brighter!
