Critique of my Misa Make-up

I was hoping for maybe some comment and/or constructive criticism on my Misa make-up.

The blouse is unfinished, so it isn't in the pictures. I also need to style the wig and buy red lipstick, so I am aware that those parts are unfinished.

I am unsure of what to do with my eyebrows, they seem rather dark?

Hello~

I was thinking maybe you could put a little bit more smudged eyeliner into the creases of your eye - a smoky effect? Misa Amane is a model who's just a bit gothic so i think playing up the colors of black and silver would work wonders.

I'm also thinking that your fake eyelashes are a little bit longer than necessary, when you close your eyes, the effect is really unnatural. Since you eyes are really big already, you could try highlighting the inner corners of your eye with a gold or white eyeliner to soften the shape and make it more rounded like anime eyes.

Even though its still unfinished, I can see that you'd make a really good Misamisa! Good luck on finishing your cosplay!

thank you very much! I'll have to try some different eyelashes.

I'll also give the eyeshadow trick you said a try.

I'd try a black liquid liner and wing it out a little. Make it a little thicker so it'll show more with the lashes, and add some eyeshadow to your lids, like a gold or pink, even red or black! (sparkly blacks are so Misa...) She's a cutesy girl, so playing with colors would be fun, or trying a bit of a smokey eye would be good too for the gothic style.

I think you could use a little blush. Something light pinky peach. As for you eyebrows, I recommend brushing foundation or concealer through them using a mascara spoolie wand.

I think in addition to the foundation on the eyebrows, try tweezing them a bit to thin them out. She's in modeling so they should be clean.

That's the only other thing I can suggest that hasn't already been said. :'D
You're a gorgeous Misa!!

About the eyebrows-
Mine take up about half my face and are BLACK, so I've had some experience here: with hair that light, they are ALWAYS gonna look dark no matter how thin you tweeze them. Since this is just a cosplay and not a life change, I'd say just pluck them as thin as you can, but if they still don't look right, I'd consider getting them dyed. Don't do it at home- you'd get blinded and I'd feel terrible.
Alternatively, you could try using a lot of eyeshadow- make the entire eye region darker. Though if you go too heavy on the eyeliner people will think you're L instead. Haha.

I'm also for black eyeshadow + black eyeliner combination.

What did you use for foundation btw? It's best to keep the face ultra evened out/pale/smooth looking since despite her gothic inclinations, her modeling career requires her to have that baby smooth look. Don't put blush on though. If you do, make it pale and just enough to highlight the cheeks rather than to make it all out.

As for the eyebrows... I don't think you need to tweeze them unless you want to, you can simply 'correct' the untweezed look by eyebrow penciling a shape. It highlights the natural curve and draws people to admire the shape.

With my Misa make-up, I used fondation to make my skin perfect, then I used black eyeliner on the top lid and winged it out a little. I used alot of mascara and used a little sparkle gloss. Misa doesn't really wear much make-up but it's best to play up the eyes for a cute look.

For my foundation I used Loreal True Match Porcelain W1. I have very very pale skin, and it's the only water based foundation that I have found so far that is my skin tone. Did you think that it looks alright?

For a reference, here is me with only my contacts in, no make-up ----> http://k2thyme.deviantart.com/galler...craps#/d31px64

I definatly agree with what people have been saying though, shorter eyelashes, more eyeliner. Thankies to all

For the eyebrows, I found a couple of things that work well in conjunction. I didn't want to dye them (I have a hairdresssing license, and I've done it myself before), that's a bit too permenant and I'd look silly with light eyebrows, Tweezing them thinner did help a lot, but also I found that cutting them shorter (the individual hairs) really made a difference on how dark they were and the harsh contrast against my skin. Those plus the foundation made them look much better, so thank you all for your suggestions!
