Very cute! You have a very pretty smile. ^^ My only suggestion (aside from the parasol, but you already know about that) would be to watch what kind of lace you are getting. The lace on your dress looks pretty good, but raschel and net-style lace can sometimes look cheap. You worked it in well though ^^

I agree the shoes need to be changed. Maybe think about some white with ribbon rocking horse shoes http://cgi.ebay.com/babydoll-lolita-...QQcmdZViewItem
or http://cgi.ebay.com/02-custom-making...QQcmdZViewItem they would match better with http://cgi.ebay.com/Battenberg-Lace-...QQcmdZViewItem those would look better and they are pretty cheap other than that invest in a nice blouse. white with lace or ribbon would be good make it or ebay it or get a name brand but make sure it goes with the flow of the dress.

As said, the lace, parasol, and etc.
:0 IMO the ribbon on the bust looks too big in width. It kind of distracting. Perhaps a smaller ribbon would of been better like this for example: http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/ju...31215-mune.jpg |

You did quite a wonderful job for your first try! ^^
In my opinion, no, you're not showing too much skin. However, since there is no covering of your arms, maybe you should switch your tights to socks (knee length or if you're daring, ankle length frilly ones) instead. That would balance it out a bit better and frilly socks would coordinate with those type of shoes quite nicely. If you were to wear a blouse under the OP, though, then you could keep the long tights. ^^ See what I mean? If the parasol was a bit lighter in color, it might work. But it competes with the dress and it should be more of a compliment than anything. I personally love the shoes; they have a very antique feel to them. Again, I think that the tights detract from them. Overall, you did a great job! It reminds me of a summer dress, light and flowey-ness. Keep it pimp, sugah~<3 |

You look very cute! Personally, I love the shoes. They're different and yet they manage to still work with the dress in my opinon.
And I won't repeat what everyone else has mentioned since I'm sure you got the point about that. Good luck on revamping it!

I completely agree with Elenoa about the smiling thing. It'd be best to tone that down.

Number one, Good GOOD job!
I personally think the cut is good and don't worry about the neckline. Alot of lolita brands have dresses that go lower then that, such as Victorian Maiden and the related. As long as clevage is not bursting apon the world and the neckline is a modest cut you are fine ^_^ |
