Help with harlequin costume

I plan to start working on a harlequin costume and more specifically, THE Harley Quinn:

For the most part, I'll be working with a lycra unitard. The dilemma for me will be the head. What should I start with? I'm assuming some sort of lycra headpiece, preferably with the section of the face I'll need to be already missing to avoid asymmetry. I'd like to stick with lycra if possible since I like the flexibility of the material. Recommendations for official terms are great since I could google, eBay and shop at dance stores with people having a better idea of what I'm looking for
