I decided to try to find more information on what exactly will be inside this and i came across a list of features including:

Cover story interview with Mitsukazu Mihara, the manga artist and creator of Doll
Interview with J-Pop superstar Nana Kitade
Interview with animator, cosplay designer and author of Japan Ai, Aimee Major Steinberger
Profiles of Japanese and American Gothic and Lolita designers
Patterns to create your own romantic accessories
And of course, lots and lots of photos of street styles, featuring Gothic Lolitas, sweet Lolitas, punk Lolitas and more straight from Tokyo

I guess we will all just have to wait and see if Tokyopop screws it up or not on Febuary 12

"Kinderwhore"!? What the hell's a "kinderwhore"!? o_O

I hope North Americans who don't know any better won't think of Lolita as a freakshow fashion after reading these articles... But then, they'll probably think that anyway so nevermind. lol

It seems... Okay at least for reference photos or patterns and such (from what I've seen anyway)... Just as long as there's no "kinderwhore"...

You know mana did not create Lolita, it came out in the late 1970's by a brand called pink house.

Mana had a lot to do with popularizing the fashion, and he's featured in the bibles a lot, but as far as I know he had nothing to do with the start of the publication.

This has been posted in mass on the EGL LiveJournal community. Many are unhappy by seeing the poor articles that they've already come out with and the fact that they're asking for ANYONE's pictures to publish into the magazine.

Just from what I saw as I glanced over what was published in "Manga" by Tokyo Pop [and I have the actualy issue, so I can provide scans if needed], I really wory about how [not if] they are going to butcher this. :/

I haven't actually read any of the articales yet, due to a funny little story. I had rescently won two auctions on some Cure magazines and have been waiting anciously for them. So one day my mum calls me over and says my magazine came! I get all excited, and turns out it was just "Manga" and not my Cure issues, so I just threw it on my desk and went back to my PSP.

Anyways, the pictures you see next to the articles are of:
Princess Ai
The Dreaming
Doll
Bizenghast
Trinity Blood
Gothic Sports
and
Vampire Kisses

Not only that, but they have an article on "crossplay" in the issue aswell that makes me lul from the pictures. :D
