One Piece Movie 8 Screening at the Embassy of Japan!!
Hey everybody in the Cosplay Nation.
This is your friendly neighborhood outlaw, JonnyStarwind here. And I have a special event to announce. In coordination with the DC Anime Club and the Japan Information & Culture Center at the Embassy of Japan, myself along with Wakusei Moe are hosting the viewing of One Piece Movie 8: The Desert Princess and the Pirates' Adventure in Alabasta. This will be the first One Piece movie released outside of Japan as well as the first one released by the new American owners of One Piece, FUNimation. Granted, you could buy the DVD a month before the event, but you can watch the movie on the big screen at the EMBASSY OF FREAKIN' JAPAN here in D.C. And the best part, it's FREE. That's right. You get to come to the Embassy of Japan and watch the first One Piece movie ever released outside of Japan for FREE. We encourage all who attend to cosplay, especially One Piece-themed but others will work too. Now, time for the specifics. The event is on March 27th at 6:30 PM at the Japanese Information and Culture Center in Washington D.C. I'm sure I'm going to be working that night but if I wasn't I'm going. Don't know if I'd go in full Sanji cosplay (might wear the suit but not the wig) if it's at an embassy. I'd just feel weird cosplaying in important buildings. @-@;;

But, I also want to point out that THIS month, at 6:30PM on Thurs. Feb. 28th, the DCAC and JICC will be hosting a DOUBLE FEATURE!! XXXHolic and Tsubasa Chronicles.
