Persona 3: Penthesilia

Hello everyone, I'm planning on cosplaying as an actual persona from the game Persona 3 and I've chosen to do Mitsuru Kirijo's persona, Penthesilia. Here's a picture: Click. I've never made "metal/armor" looking clothing before but I've made "armor/metal-like" props and accessories. The questions that I have for making this costume are:

1. How could I properly make the corset (including the part extending over the hips, excluding the "cups")? I'll probably make it out of a thick cloth (duck cloth?) and cover over it with lame, if that's even possible. If anyone has better suggestions, please do tell.

2. Is it possible to dye stockings? As you can see, her stockings are blue, but there is a darker blue area at the top and down the center. I'm not sure I'll be able to make stockings myself.

These are the questions I have for now. I know how to make the head, crown, swords and the "cups" on the corset as well as the actual clothing parts.

Any suggestions for the corset and stockings would help! Thank you all for your time!

My answer to question number one is that you use craft foam. Probably a thick kind, or duckcloth would work! And for the second question, you can probably paint the stockings, no? Hope I helped some what!

Yeah, Persona cosplay <333

For the corset armor, I'd say use craft foam. It stays in place well, and with the right type of silver paint, it can look really good.
And for the stockings- I think I've seen that color before. For the strips on them, though, I think you could either add them on with a light fabric, or paint them, though paint can get messy..
