Alright you guys, I'm here for help with a perplexing prop. I need to either buy, modify, or make Johnny's hat. Here is a good set of refs.

Buckrum is a material actually used to make hats! If you make the hat, buckrum can be found at most fabric stores. It's not very hard to work with either. I used it to make the shoulder pieces on my Pacifica costume.

If you want more support you could always put wire around the edges to make it stiffer.

I've never made a hat before, so this is just going on my past experience with these materials. If your willing to experiment I would deffinately try the buckrum

Haha thanks for taking some interest in my costume. I was thinking I could maybe find it at a costume shop... But I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions for good stores or places to look?

i didnt check out the whole site but there were alot of links there

as for stores... the only costume store I know is costume castle...but I havent been there in a few years so I have no idea what they have there...
