So i have watched multiple tutorials, read instructions, ect. but there are still a few things that i'm still unsure of.

For the cosplay I plan on making I have to make armor out of craft foam.

Now I basically have it all planned out but what im confused on is how i should attach the pieces together, like the front and back of the armor. i was thinking lace it up on both sides using eyelets and some type of string or something? I want it to be tight enough not to fall down but i also don;t want to rip it!

second I'm confused on how to keep the leg guards up! There are some that will go from my knees to mid thy and some that go from my knee to my ankle. these will obviously be separate but how will i keep them from falling? elastic? lace them up? I'm just not so sure how to do it
