Oh my Gnade~ That is THE cutest Mightyena Gijinka EVER~ *Oh heck, they're all cute.*

And I second the Mightyena/Poochyena/Houndour/Houndoom if you have black hair. Another one people might not have guessed, what about Misdreavus (well, might be more grayish, but....) or Murkrow? (Albiet, I see more male Murkrow, but I'm sure one could give the little flight-lovely a feminine spin~

As for the tusks... I have no idea. D8 Although incorperating them into a necklace sounds like fun~ MAYBE shoulder-spikes? Although that would be a bit too out-of-character unless this Gijinka is a villain~ 8D

i was thinking about just taking umbreon or espeon for spin and make a hat with their ears on it so i wouldnt worry about a wig, but a misdreavus sounds fun too hmm me and my friend r going to the convention together so i thought we could do a pair or something that looks like we're a group but who knows we still gotta talk it over

I just drew up some sketches for a houndoom, I figured since I already have alot of dark clothing, a collection of collars, and a black hoodie that fits me that I never use, I could make it relatively easily.

I am having some issues though...figuring out just how to do his spine things, I don't want them to be flat and 2D, it'd be easy to sew flat things to the hoodie, the problem is getting it to be 3 demensional, how do I attach it to the hoodie, make the spines first, then sew them onto the hoodie? or....stuff them with something?

same goes for the horns.

I'll upload my designs soon and color them and ask for some opinions.

edit: does it matter if I wear my glasses with the costume or not? :\

um i never really tried it but u could try to sew the outer parts of the spin first then stuff it with cotton tightly. that would hold it shape i think. and then sew up the place where u put all the cotton in. and for the horns u could do the same except use some stable wires in them to keep them up rite?

as far as glasses go... my take on this is (and this goes for all cosplay) "I have to have my glasses on to SEE " the end. you make funny faces when you NEED them if you aren't wearing them

IMO I never take them off and people can get over it >_<;

Hmm...I'm no sewing or cosplay expert, but this is what I would try to do.

In order to make the spines, I would take a non-fuzzy material like vinyl, sew them onto the hoodie, and leave a small opening for the stuffing. I would then stuff them and close them up. ^^

I would do the same for the horns. :3 I don't think you'll need wire to keep them up because stuffing can really stiffen something up. Just make sure the pattern your using has the right shape. :3

I also found a tutorial for attaching things to a hoodie. n_n

It's located here: http://clearkid.deviantart.com/art/H...Ears-116362284

As far as glasses go, you can always take them off for pictures. I wear glasses too, so that's what I'm planning to do. Or you can keep them on if they match the costume. XD That also works! It's entirely up to you.

Again, I'm not an expert so don't kill me if this doesn't work out. XP

And man, I'm so excited. I drew up my costume design for my first ever cosplay! I'm cosplaying a sneasel gijinka! ^^

no I just mean will oundoom lose it's effect if I wear my glasses with it?

I've never been able to get contacts into my eyes, I've tried, but my eyes are narrow and idk if it's my perscription or my eyes but the contacts just don't fit anytime I try to put them in.

the stuffing idea sounds good, where do you get stuffing? and also, should I use fleece for the spines and horns? I want it to be plush

no as long as ur fine with glasses then i think it wont change anything for houndoom.

um as for stuffing i think if u go to wal-mart or a hobby lobby (somewhere where they specialize in crafts/sewing is fine too) they mite have it. fleece would definitely work for the horns and spine too.

You know... I actually don't know~ Although I'd like to see a few Gijinka with glasses~ I mean... Oh Gnade... like giving Darkrai really dark, horn-rimmed glasses, and then the stern librarian stare... *Shiver*

If you can't find a Gijinka design with glasses, then maybe make your own? 8D

hoothoot wears glasses XD

this is my houndoom outfit design so far...pretty generic, but I think it'll be cute if i can figure out how to do the spines.

and the hoodie is supposed to be black, not dark gray

Houndoom with glasses, hrm? It could work quite well, actually. Don't think of the glasses as a necessary evil, actually incorporate them into the costume. You could model it after some guy like this (just as an example): http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...pell=1&start=0
