I'm 99% done with my drifloon! hoodie and skirt are complete, the hoodie has yet to be hemmed [although I might just leave it how it is, fleece doesn't fray] and I still need to get my rainboots. but here it is minus the tights, boots, and facepaint:
a wild drifloon appeared! [excuse my silly grin xD] flooon and an obligatory myspace pose

Aww I love your drifloon, zombietrudy! 8D And you got it done so fast! Is your hair actually purple, or is it a wig? *curious because my hair is purple*

I'm making a second Gijinka Persian. I posted my progress pictures and notes on my sewing blog:
http://scarletrhapsody.vox.com/libra...ersian-20.html Essentially, I made an early 1960s secretary form of Giovanni's Persian. Yes, I'll have Giovanni that will follow me around. Here's my first Persian: http://scarlet-rhapsody.com/travelin...05_pokemon.htm

for your persion may I suggest making the little red gem thing more of a headdress type of thing? like still making it glamorous but with a headdress? to be honest unless you were really looking for it, it isn't very obvious that it's a persian.
but it is pretty :3

I agree with the headdress idea, however in the first version it's a necklace which I also like. I like the ears too O_. they have cute beads on them X3. Over all I'm really liking how the second one is coming (well I think it's the gold gloves that really pull it together) but Don't forget the tail!.
I think pokemon that aren't really distinctive are harder to do harder to notice . like Meowth has a curled bi-color tail and a coin on it's headeasy to notice. Persian is more simplistic but elegant ............... blah blah I could go one but you've stoped reading by now >_<;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; wai! Driffloon is so cute :3 I love that poke too bad it's purple, I was thinking about doing the shiny version

Should worse come to worse, and it's just out of my current skill ability, I'll just have to scratch the gijinka and cosplay as Giovanni. But I've been wanting to do a Lugia gijinka, so I'm gonna try my best at this one before moving to my Plan B.

Thanks for the constructive advice. I actually thought about how I'm going to do the red gemstone thingy on the second one. I figured out how to make one of those Jackie O pillbox type hats. To go with the theme, I think I'll have a red gemstone on the center of the pillbox hat. Hm...now to figure out how to attach one to a hat...*ponder*
Are there any tail tutorials out there? Help appreciated. These ideas are great, keep 'em comin'!

but I agree with the idea of having the blue peices sticking up, also if you go to a resale shop you can find a hodded something sometimes that has a point in the back. unfortunately I don't know how to describe it |

I think I know what you're talking about, Tatsu-chan. I tend to check thrift stores for clothes that I need and modify them accordingly; I'm just gonna have to keep an eye out for something white with a rather pointed hood.

Sorry that I don't have any constructive advice to offer anyone...but I will continue asking questions about my Mismagius costume (I asked one before).
Mismagius has three red jewels that are oval-shaped, a bigger one in the center and a smaller one on either side. I interpreted this part of her to be about the waist, so I'm making a belt-like thing for that. My only issue is what to use as the jewels. I've been looking for even rectangular-cut fake jewels, and I've found some that would work okay for the smaller ones, but I can never find a big one that I consider big enough for the center. I was wondering, does anyone have any idea of how I could make the red jewels without using actual fake gems? I've been trying to think of ideas, but all I can think of is painting on red ovals, and I really would rather not do that, because I want something with more of the dome-like third demension to it. Does anyone have any ideas for this?
