Its my first cosplay so I am super aprehensive as to what it is going to turn out like but I am pleased with it so far.

Today I made the headband headress and right now i am working on the torch skirt part

hopefully I want to waer it to london mcm expo in may.
That sounds like it will be awesome XD

I plan on doing a Kyurem gijinka. One of my friends invited me to do a legendary pokemon group with them. I wanted to do Reshiram but someone had already picked it so I picked Kyurem. I haven't even caught it yet, but it seems like no one else in the group was going to pick it (they already have Lugia, Latios/Latias, Groudon, Reshiram and Zekrom and who knows what else by now XD) so I did. I've come up with a design kind of like a knight thing, influenced by this http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&se...jinka#/d30q9g0 but uh... with more clothes XD I want to do a headpiece like the one in the picture and maybe some boots kind of like that, but the rest is like a chestplate with the wings attached and gauntlets with claws on it, and a staff with the tail design on it. All of this will be over a gray bodysuit... Kyurem doesn't have the most exciting color scheme ever XD

Anyway, so if anyone has any ideas or tips on how to make this stuff they'd be appreciated

I'm working on a Volcarona cosplay and I'm having a bit of trouble with the wings. Should I make it just like a cape or should I attach the bottom to the dress so it doesn't look asymetrical?
Pic for reference of the design I'm using

Cool design!

I vote for attaching the bottom.....and perhaps you could even attach the top wings to your gloves somehow (so that when you lift your arms the wings will spread) ^_-.

I have a sketch of my Kyurem gijinka now (although it's nowhere near as well drawn as the Volcarona above). If anyone has any advice on the color of the belt, it would be appreciated.

Thank you and Thanks so much. I was going to have a thin thread or string running through the ends of the wings to the middle finger of each glove.

@Jyronaut: I would recommend the dark grey or ice blue.
@AirVee: Your design is amazing!
Good luck guys. Hopefully next year I can get to work on one or two gijinka ideas I have...

I'm in the mist of doing Audino :3
http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2897677/
I'm thinking that adding a ruffle or lace to the vest edge (it is a vest it's just hard to tell) and lace to the shirt and shorts might be cute :3
There is going to be a pink wig with it but it hasn't come in yet.
any suggestings for leg wear? I was hoping to find pink and cream striped socks or perhaps leg warmers (gee just like Zorua >_<)

AirVee your outfit makes the pokemon look much more appealing than in the game :3 I can't wait to see pics !

-resurrects thread- o.o;

So I want to do a Mewtwo gijinka....not sure what exactly I want to do yet, whether I'll go with a labcoat and boots design, or a form-fitting dress with high-heels. However, not really sure how I'd go about the tail...any suggestions?

You'd have to be a little creative with this design (since I don't know how conventions would feel about body paint/partial nudity), but I think it's a super-cute concept for Mewtwo:

The labcoat version is cool too, but I think it has been done a few times already (and is more geared towards guys ^_-).

thanks :3

as for Mewtwo please remember you have to attatch the tail somewhere >_<
even if the labcoat is geared towaards gus doing 2 simple things will make it a cool girl outfit
1 wera a skirt and /or 2 make the labcoat more fitted (I guess gloves as well)
a few other idea are... wear leggings or socks in mewtwo colors and I saw a cute gijinka in a dress with the darker tummy area on it ... but I couldn't get to the actual image to link it

I'm planning on doing a Teddiursa cosplay ^_^ I can't sew myself, but I know someone that will work on it with me. I have brown hair and I know how to do the hair buns myself, but I was wondering if I should use my own hair, or commission a wig? And as for the dress in the picture, does anyone know of a good pattern that fits it? I'll be making adjustments to the pattern to shorten it either way, haha. Thanks for the help!

solstis: Is your Audino finished yet? It looked so cute in the picture you posted!

For Teddiurasa if you like the way your hair is go with that. (personally if I can use my own hair I do why commission a wig that looks like what I can grow myself XD) the hair could be buns or hair loops if you have medium length hair. (like if I need messy buns I do a hair loop and then fain it out because a bun with med. hair is too small) OR use extentions ANYWAY
the dress is more like an over sized shirt like a child in their parents shirt. but in the real world something along the lines of a shirt dress or any long sleeved night shirt with a collar would work. No patterns come to mind. But the easy way of making a kimono comes to mind, if you cut to neckline like a normal shirt *nods* that way you can make sleves as wide as you need

and yeh I have finished it, I changed it a lot because it was uncomfortable >_<
