Yoko's glasses

I'm planning on cosplaying Yoko Ritona from Gurren-Lagann. Originally I had no plans to make her glasses/goggles at all, but then I found a pair of lab goggles that would work pretty well actually. xD

The problem is that they're clear and well... I need them to be orange. I *think* acrylic paint is what I should use to color it while still keeping the transparency? I just want to verify this for sure before I mess this up. ^^; Or are there other easier suggestions?

Thanks~

(Oh and refs for her glasses/goggles:

Sorry they're not great, but it's hard to find a picture. T_T)

Acrylic paint is not going to be transparent. Craft store have a transparent paint ment for making fake stained glass, that might work better. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the paint.

I've seen sheets of colored transparent PVC at hobby/craft stores, meant for model airplanes ans such. That's where I'm buying mine.

You'll want something like glass paint. Craft stores definitely have them, as that's what I used to get my Simon glasses yellow.
