*giggles* I hope your brother likes you!

Things are moving along on the outfit... got the pantaloons done and the collar is on the shirt. WOO! Had to go with very slight off-white due to matching with the fabric I chose.

Gave my daughter a choice of two patterns. One was slightly off-white with pink vines and flowers (All small print), the other was a red and black plaid (Also small in print). She shocked the socks off of me when she chose the red and black.

I considered the black... and I thought it might bleach her out a little too much. Her skin tone is only mildly olive.

I'll post pictures as soon as I have them. Probably in two weeks at the latest. *smiles happily*

yay, can't wait to see the picture.

I'm surprised aswel, you tend to imagine children wanting to go for the light and bright happy colours.

I think the red and black would have been beautiful... but I'm not sure if that would fit the look I was going for. It might move it away from petit lolita... and move it to just a dress. *ponders*

She might have been trying for shock value. She succeeded!

Not really, just boystyle would be fine: http://community.livejournal.com/egl/2300955.html

Well, of course I am biased here..But as a fan of lolita AND crossplay, perhaps consider lolita for your 2-year old. Based on Victorian fashion history, boys used to be dressed like girls up until about age 5 actually. Of course, this is just an idea and the previous post would work just as well!

I think it's cute, but then sometimes I wonder is it fair on the child to wear lolita, because it is a very specific taste and when they grow up they might resent it? Then again what does the child know and it does look uber cute.

I think it'll be extremely kawaii ^^ There should be no problems with it, just call it "japanese street fashion" - anyways there are tons of other styles of japanese street fashion.

Also, Bodyline does make and sell kids sizes of their clothing. Just look at it: kacchin!
