Full face mask tips?

I'm very new to the cosplaying scene and figured this would be a good place to ask for advice.

I'm cosplaying at Anime Iowa as either No-Face or Larva, both of which require a decent-sized and structured mask. I was wondering if anyone on here had any tips on what kind of material would be best to use on such masks. Paper-mache, some sort of plaster, cardboard and paper? Any advice would be very much appreciated, and I thank you in advance.

Paper maché on a wire frame would be a good method to try.

I'll try that out, then. Much thanks to both of you, and I hope to see you at Anime Iowa, Ice dragon. I'll probably be going as Larva. I'll also be one of the guys playing Para Para and DDR a lot, most likely using a cane and a hat some of the time.

Thanks,
Michael

I once used a bowl for a Mononoke mask.
