I have a question of my own. What kind of fabric can I use for the wings? Also, can anyone help me with animatronics to move the jaw? Normally, I have movable jaws on my fursuits, but since his neck is so long, I will have to do it mechanically.

OMG, can't wait to see Valoo. Completely mechanical jaw movement, i'm a bit confused about. But electronic/animatronic based systems, I may have some ideas. As for the wings, I'm not sure. I'll keep it in mind if I think of something.

I've got a list of costumes that I want to make that I am slowly starting to work on, all of them fursuits/mascot style.

1. Yoshi (Mario series)
2. Ivysaur (Pokemon)
3. King Dedede (Kirby series, Smash Bros)
4. Flamedramon (Digimon)

I'm slowly beginning work on Yoshi and Ivysaur, will work on others later on and post progress.

I havent been doing fursuiting for too long, my first furry was pakkun from 07 momocon and my second one is padfoot

I am currently commissioning an OC fursuit and my next project is werewolf link

and yeah I dunno about the animatronics=/ I'll be using some on link though to make the ears and tails move

AsianLink - Yeah, I'm thinking animatronic. I normally have moveable jaws on my fursuits, which require no mechanics (when I open my mouth, the jaw moves of the fursuit), but since Valoo's neck is so long, I need to use animatronics.

Nin-Kitty - Werewolf Link? You mean Link from ToZ Twilight Princess? My twin sister is making a wind waker version of Wolf Link.

Oh wow. Valoo will be interesting to see. Also your sister's Toon WolfLink. I'll definitely keep an eye out.

Iiii... Just have improvements on Mewtwo, then Lucario, and helping my gf out with her first...
And of course I also have Moomba done, and Blaziken has been sitting idly, not sure if I'm going to wear it again. Been thinking of fixing it up.

Funny, it seems that all the PMs I get anymore are asking my help with creature cosplays, heh. Which I gladly give advice on.

Well, I just started started on fixing my Blaziken up again. Gonna redo lots of it. BTW, do you use Blazikens eyes for your vision or another system. I find that somewhat sideways vision is sorta difficult to deal with especially because I can't really see in front of me or down very well without turning my whole head and looking like a retarded Blaziken. But yah, hopefully this thread thrives so we can all share ideas and give advice on creature cosplays.

koisnake try the tutorial list for movable tails and stuff i know theres a really good in the props and assesccories forum.

I was wondering if anyone had advice on my wargreymon from digimon, not the armor just the foam muscles and feet

For Wargreymon, I suggest buying a Lycrasuit, they usually cost around $40. Use foam to shape the muscles and attach them to the lycra suit. BUT, in order to do that, you must make a Duct Tape Dummy of yourself. Heres a tutorial on how to make one.

You can stuff it with newspaper, old clothes.etc. Put the Lycra suit on it, then began to attach foam to it, spray adhesive works very good.

Can't wait to see your suits, Oshi. I am actually being commissioned for two different Lucario suits 8D He must be popular, but he'll be alot of fun.

Right now, I am working on a Ratchet commission and an Akamaru fursuit for myself, I forgot to mention it on the top.

Are you doing 4ng31's Lucario as well as his Ratchet? Because we'll probably both wear them at Otakon, hahah.

Yes ^^ I will have Ratchet done hopefully before April ends, and start Lucario then. The other Lucario is going to Utai Mitsumo, so recently commissioned a Suicune from me. He needs to be done before September.

Although I am working on Akamaru, should I just do Valoo? Since I've never seen a Valoo fursuit before and I'd think it be interesting. If yes, I'll start on him as soon as some foam arrives to my house from the internet.

Whenever your ever done with other fursuits, be sure to tell me Oshi I'd love to see them all.

I was actually in the furry fandom before I got into the anime fandom, and I have been fursuiting for at least 7 years now.
I cosplayed for the first time last year, and I loved it. I did wear a Raccoon Mario, so it was at least vaguely furry. This year I am planning something different, though.

what does anyone know of digigrade legs,i saw some wooden ones and metal made but are they really great,mainly for costume like my wargreymon cuz in his transformation scene his legs are knocked in past his kneecaps like a..chicken? i geuss
any suggestions or just do without the digigrade legs,gawd i am such a wishywashy when it comes to cosplay
