Question What tutorials would you like to see?

I've been getting lots of wig design questions via email about the various techniques I use, and I think it would probably be more efficient (and more helpful!) if I just post some tutorials on my site.

http://www.katiebair.com/wigs.html

So my question is, what types of tutorials would you be interested in seeing? I can only do so many, and I won't give away all my secrets, so please keep the requests within reason. Also, please don't be offended if I don't use your idea. There are some parts of wig styling that require special tools that are not for beginners, or that I simply wouldn't recommend people trying at home. ( Coz you might burn the house down! o_0' )

Some of the current suggestions include: how to make "anime" bangs, how to part a wig for pig tails, and up-do techniques.

I guess my biggest questions revolve around dying parts of wigs...especially in gradients (a la Xenosaga's KOS-MOS and Kami from Malice Mizer's Le Ciel video.)

On the boards here, I most often see questions about dyeing wigs.. of course the topic's been done to death. I'd be interested in learning how to add hair for length/volume.. but then, I have a heat sealer...

Yes! Pig tails and ponytails would be great
Pics would help me out a lot to. I'm more of a visual learner XD

Maybe a list of helpful styling tools like gel, glue, spray, etc.

I would actually like to have information/tutorials on how to straighten a wig, really. Seems most higher quality wigs always have waves or curl at the end or something, ya know?

I'd love to read about making and attaching extensions to wigs. My attempts have not been crowned with success.

Yes, I agree with Rosiel, extensions are something I would like to be a little more profiecent with. Not just adding them to wigs but to your own hair. Like those "fake Ponytails" that you can buy at Claire's. What is the best way to style them and make it look like a part of your real hair.

I am doing a Sana-chan(Kodomo No Omocha) outfit and I have medium length hair and as apposed to stuffing my hair into a wig. I just want to add extensions to my real hair.

Great idea to have a wigs only forum!

I would say that dying techniques would be number one on my list, and I definitely think that adding extensions would be a good one too.

I would luv a Tutorial on how to style wigs. Especially in the cases of bangs. Like Aeris from FFVII and many other anime characters that have two large bang type things in their hair. Basically a styling tutorial. Sorry to be so confusing. o_O;;

I agree that styling (particularly pigtails as I have a huge problem with my favorite wig and pigtails) and adding extensions would be very useful to most people.

Also, a basic tutorial on care of wigs would be nice. I know that there are tons of places you can find out how to wash a wig, but there are other things to consider as well. I know from experience that if you don't store a wig properly you can end up with all sorts of problems ranging from knots that won't come out to permanent waves that won't come out to bald spots, discoloring, etc etc. So perhaps some sort of tutorial just on the basics of washing, combing, storage and maybe even travel storage would be good to have.
