Looking for the right wig for Priss ^_^"

Hi..Iwas wondering if anybody could help me out with finding a wig for Priss. Does anyone know of where I can get one and what style I should choos (thats basically what i'm stuck on- the style i should get)? And also it's be best if it weren't too too expensive ^_^"
The thing is I only need a short wig but I need to be able to style it like her hair (im gonna spike it up and stuff). I'm going for tokyo2040 version and I have long hair and bangs (which can be those long parts on the sides of her hair) so basically I need the bangs/top parts of her head where its all spikey. SO maybe a short wig would work i think?

Here's a pic of what my hair looks like (my av isn't that great of a pic). Its pulled up in the pic but you get the genreal idea (its pretty long when its down):

And here's some pics I found of Priss around the internet:

those were the best pics i could find...^_^"

Priss has a bit of a long mullet going on, so you might want to consider starting there.

Or, if you're confident in your cutting and styling abilities, you could try starting with a "Heroine" wig from amphigory.com in "Upstage" or "Luscious".

Hmm..I'd probably end up butchering something like that if I tried to cut it myself.

I found this one:

I would get it in the right color.
Would that work maybe if I just changed the spikes?

WHat would work on wigs? I keep hearing about this ICE stuff, Also heard about using glue. I want it to stay permanantly so I'm not really sure what kind of things i should use on it I want big, chunky spikes so it looks anime-ish.

The stuff I primarily use for spiking is Paul Mitchell styling glue. The ICE product line is similar, but I've found the the P.M. formula works a little better with wigs. After you get it spiked the way you want, just load on the hairspray.

As for the wig, if you added a long section to the back, I could see that as working. It might be a little on the short side on top, but that depends a lot on the size of your face. ^_^

I have long hair so i wont need to add a piece. I'll just dye my hair if the color doesnt match up right..basically i want to have it be part my hair and then the wig part just for the spikes on top. I don't plan on tucking my hair underneath is what i mean. I'll ust wear the wig on top of my head sorta...

Also, you could buy a punk rocker wig, and style it so. I am going to do that when I get around to cosplaying Priss, and Sarima from Beyblade

Hell, I'd just cosplay Priss from Bladerunner(where BGC got the name) than Priss from BubbleGum Crisis.

... uh, er, okay ... o_O

anyway. I wouldn't get a short wig and layer over your normal hair unless you were 101% sure that the colors matched EXACTLY. it'd be much easier just to buy a long wig and hack at it a bit. my friend's being Priss at AX, and that's what we're doing (assuming she actually buys the wig, like, NOW -_-).

As long as you can verify the color number (all wig fibers have numbers for the colors) you should be fine with matching. Many places will let you knok what the actual color number is for their wigs if you ask. (For instance, "Upstage" at Amphigory is a 30...)

It's the same number chart for extensions. ^_^
