Lolita Pets

I got a new puppy just a few days ago. She is an adorable black and white Shih-Tzu named Shina.. and Mommy has a chiuaua (sp?) that's 6 months old named Holly (she got her for Christmas after a neighbor's dog mistook Heero, her previous chiuaua, for a chew toy).. The lady we bought Shina from said she's about 6 weeks old.. She looks MUCH younger than that though....

While searching the internet for info on training puppies, I came across a ton of dog cloths for sale! I found plain dresses going for as much as $200!!! They had every style available, Goth, Punk, nerdy, preppy, slutty.... but I could not find any lolita!

SO, my reason for posting: I want to know what you all think about Lolita for dogs?

I'm almost finished with my Shina's first dress, and I already have a ton of Ideas sketched out. Everything from Lolified carriers (the kind that look like purses) to clothing, Punk Loli, Gothic Loli, Sweet Loli, EGA, EGL, &c.

So... let me know what you think! Would you buy it? Would you be interested in matching outfits for you and your pet?

1 it depends on the dog some dog don't like to be in cloth ( like my dog, he chew on it and try to get it off as fast as he can)
2 like you said dog cloth are expansive.. if it's 200 for the dog .. i'm pretty sure i'd rather spend it on my own lolita dress >.<
... umm if the dog likes the cloth and it's good price then yea.. i think people would buy it ^^

Aw, I think it sounds cute! ^^ Even though, for the sake of my dog's comfort (I've got two.. pomchi/maltese mixes lol) I'd probably only make lolified collars and maybe a little tophat for my lil' Stanley. XDD And perhaps some bows for the fur on my girl, Claudia's, ears. lol! But I think it depends on how comfortable your dog is with wearing certain clothes.

Aww, now you're giving me ideas!! XD

Oh! I would not charge THAT much! I was just saying what rediculous prices were out there.....

I know many dogs don't like weiring clothing, so I have some designs for lolified collars and most of the dresses are harness-dresses (all of the small dogs we've had will fight and wiggle out of collars, but are quite comfortable in the harnesses)

I think they look much more comfortable than collars..

They do, actually. Hmm.. Maybe I should try those on my dogs. Their collars don't look that comfortable. >__<

That sounds nice, especially if you have a wide selection of useful things like collars and harnesses. If you had some for cats, I'd buy them, xD.

Actually, depending on how big your cat is, most cloths for miniature and toy dogs will fit... We have a little plaid dress from a dog boutique in Hawaii that all of our cats and small dogs have worn at least once =^___^= it's so cute.. although it's pretty worn out now.... It's the first two pics.. the other dresses were actually doll dresses =^___^=

That's Twitch (the calico) and Spaz =-__-= Unfortunately all of our kitties have run away except Skunk (a fat, lazy black cat)

Maybe it's just me but I think it's kinda mean to put clothes on animals.

I know for a fact that any clothes I would attempt to put on my pet rabbit would end up in his stomach. ~_~ He'll eat just about anything I put in front of his face.

Yeah, I've got to join in with the few dissenters who aren't big on putting animals in clothes. There are those few pets who don't mind, but in my experience, the majority are uncomfortable. And it's generally just a needless annoyance for them - obvious exceptions excluded.

But collars and harnesses with a Lolita touch would be adorable.

I agree Feylene collars would be cute and harnesses. I wouldn't buy them cause I don't use them for my pets but I know lots of people who would.

Aww, a cute cat! But I do agree with everyone on the clothes; there are so many people who put their pets in clothes and the pets dread it. I haven't even gottan my cat used to collars. yet. But I'm sure there are pets out there who don't mind it--I know a dog with very little fur who wears little coats and doesn't mind at all.

I'd personally never consider dressing up any of my pets, but whaever floats your boat.
The collars and harnesses are cute though- you could add some matching lace onto them or something.
