yea, I have the same shot. I was hoping I could find a better reference since It's hard to see how her clothes look and fall on her, but I'll deal. Maybe, when I have the energy I'll take a screen shot of her in the anime.
yeah that is tricky, from what I can gather I believe the top half is very tight fitting or body forming but the lower half with alot slack, id think like sweat pants but with more slack around the knee to ankle area with note to the butt tail lol the hood is a little tricky sticking out in the back instead of the top like a normal hood

I'm glad I found this thread. I just posted asking for advice on how to make Soul when he's in his scyth form. This will be my first time making a prop...if any of you have advice that would be awesome...

Here's a few reference pictures I have:

Ack sorry for super late reply, but no, she doesn't ^^; We've already got 13 people (including the entire main cast woo) in our group, but yeah, if we happen to be wearing the costumes at the same time as you guys, we definitely need to get pictures together!

That's a great image! Thanks for sharing it! *saves* ^_^

Thanks for the suggestions on the sisters' hats. They certainly are unusual.

Hey there! I'm working on a Death the Kid cosplay for Otakon '08 and was wondering if anyone could verify whether is jacket/sweter has a collar? I've been going through my reference pictures and can't seem to find any consistancy! Sigh. Any help will be returned with much love.

Today I embark upon my journey to start my Medusa costume. I'm thinking for her pants, to just buy UFO's. They have that puffy effect and I can tuck away the strings and remove the UFO label on them. The pants are what's confusing me. I'm not sure how to start that at all.

I'm new to cosplay but this year I'm heading for AnimeNEXT, Otakon and Anime Festival. So after a couple of weeks of thought and stuff I decided to go for cosplaying as Death the Kid (for Otakon and Anime Festival). At first I was thinking of going as Dr. Stein but I'm 4'10'' so I would look kind of silly~ XD

But yeah, I kind of have an idea where to start but my two concerns are:
1.) The hair: I have short, black hair so I don't know if I should just do the white stripes and call it a day or buy a wig.
2.) That skull tie thing: I have no idea how I am going to make it. Any tips on that one?

1)As an expert bleacher (my hair has undergone it many times) I can say with confidence that bleaching your hair is a big change, and if it's done wrong it'll muss up your hair quite a bit. You might want to think about that before jumping in. black hair bleaches completely white, so unless you're willing to stick with that style I'd suggest against it. You could dye it back black, but that's a whole big mess too. Black dye gets EVERYWHERE.

2) I think you could do it with clay and velcro or a piece of string. You need baking clay, form the face and bake it. You can just use white clay and then use a marker to draw on the nose and eyes, but you can make indentations for them to color in. With the velcro, you can glue one piece on to the back of the clay and sew or glue the other piece onto the shirt where you would want it to be. With the string, you can form a loop in the top of the clay before you bake it and make a necklace out of it, just tie the sting tight so it ends up being more of a choker than a necklace, and after, you can wear it around any time, like an actual necklace. :3

Thanks :3 Hmm...Tricky~ :X are there alternative ways to dying the hair white without the whole bleaching process? I know there is the color spray method but I kind of don't want it to look really dry and sticky.

other than bleach and color spray, I'm pretty sure no. White hair dye won't take to unbleached hair.
