Older Woman Character
Hey guys, just found out that my mom wants to cosplay with me at the NY con and was wondering if anyone knew of any older, well know anime characters? She wants to be an older character, it's not my choice. Anyhoo, any ideas would be really helpful ^_^

It depends, what anime's does she like?
Age shouldn't really matter as long as the outfit looks good. Maybe Pinoko- Full Metal alchemist.. then she can harrass all the Ed's and Winry's at the con. Or Tsunade.. Harrassing all the Narutos heck even far out there- McGonagall from Harry potter.. I haven't seen one but it'd be a cool cosplay.

This may sounds wierd.. But uhh.. Maybe if you posted a picture of your mom, people would be able to state characters which she would be able to pull off real well. Because age is just a number, my *Grandma* is in her late 70's and she looks like she is 35-ish?e.e;;
But thats just my opinion.

Well, there are plenty of "motherly" type characters in anime and video-games, if she's okay with doing a potentially lesser-known character.
A few ideas: Gillian, FFVII: Crisis Core Ren, Fruits Basket Sachiko Yagami, Death Note Natsue Awayuki, Pretear A lot of anime characters have their family members shown at some point in the series, so perhaps have her cosplay your character's mother. ^^ I think that would be pretty cool. ^^

Balalaika - Black Lagoon I know he is a guy...but maybe Koumyou from Saiyuki/Burial? He has long hair and wears a robe, so if she doesn't mind crossplaying it would be an easy transition from F > M. All I can think of for now!

I know a 54 yr old grandma who'd look great as Steel Angel Kurumi or Tsunade from Naruto. I'd suggest you search for anime or manga characters that look like your mom.
