You most certainly can tape pattern pieces together; like someone else said there are some patterns where you do have to tape extension pieces and whatnot to other pieces in order to get the look right (ex. McCall's 4491). The only thing to watch out for is if you ever want to remove the pieces you don't want to use very strong tape. My mom found some that is specifically made for the thin. fragile paper used for pattern pieces; it holds everything where you need it, but when you want to take it off it does so easily.

I remember someone (on this thread?) was asking about face concealment, such as for helmets or masks so that skin doesn't show through -- I found a very cool resource for making your own concealment hood, cheaper than ordering a zentai hood and you can customize it -- the link is:

http://www.stretchy.org/catsuit/extras/hoods/

He shows two examples -- one fairly simple, and the other more technical but would fit better and avoid seams in case you're making a mask or balaclava.

Thank you stormraven24, jambreaker, the hag,

Now another question. xD
Since the pattern is for meant for guys and I'm a girl.
If I cut out the pants just like the patterns will it come out weird? Should I do anything to it before.

This is my first time working with a pattern that is more complicated. So I'm really nervous. xD

You might get some cheap $1-a-yard material to 'prototype' your work -- that way, if something doesn't turn out quite right, it's just some cheap stuff that can be scraps to stuff a future project anyhow. Costumers for the theatre often use muslin for trial runs and test fittings, and then use the muslin for the pattern for that particular actor.

There are A LOT of various skintight costumes and cosplays out there. Zero suit Samus, MegaMan, various superheroes, the list can go on. A lot of people don't mind buying a catsuit and working from there. but has anybody gone so far as to make a lifecast? Please do tell. Also feel free anybody to mention other workarounds they have done. In the meantime I'll continue lurking for what I find.

i'm thinking of dressing as carrera from viper gts but i have no clue how to sew on my own so i would probably just buy and repurpose existing clothing to match my needs. is there any kind of paint that sticks well to vinyl or latex?

Might you have any fabric suggestions on a Shinee "lucifer cosplay?" Most the fabric is highly shiny which normally I have not seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dww9UjJ4Dt8&ob=av2e

So, I've got a question.
How do us girls with bigger chests get away with a cosplay of Queen Nehelenia from Sailor Moon?
No straps on the dress so I understand a strapless bra would work but the shape of the "top" of her dress doesn't provide much cover for the front of a bra to hide and there is a low back as well. Any ideas?
