here this might help, its a Miku tutorial, but if you kind of modify it to Rin/Len it might work:

@Mirror
I put elastic at the top of my arm/leg warmers under the yellow strip to hold them up. I've seen some people use double sided tape on the inside instead, but I would think that wouldn't do as nice of a job.

For the headphones, you can use foam board, hot glue, and craft foam with the peel off sticky side. Just made something in paint quickly since it didn't really make sense when I was typing out the steps alone.

The ones Maneki_Neko14 posted look nicer, but if you're on a small budget or something, mine should work.

Thanks Pawpee and Maneki! Pawpee, do you might if I save your little tutorial? And yeah, last year I did a character's white armbands with tube socks and just put purple cloth on each end...yeah...it looked okay, but the hot glue was a little messy, and it definitely wouldn't work for this cosplay.

@Maneki: Do Miku, Rin and Len all have the same shaped headphones, so that if I end up using your video tutorial I can just change the colors?

Oh, but thank you for responding anyway! I wasn't thinking ^-^ and yes, if I could find white cardboad and blue paper instead...and thanks Pawpee, I wasn't sure of the color!

I'm sure Image will thank you too! But he's a lazy bum so I'm the one researching!

I wish you luck on your cosplays, I'm sure they'll turn out great!

EDIT: yeah they are the same shape
only miku's is black with the pink light and turqoise extra little light strips and rin/lens are white with the little yellow light with the blue extras

The color of the foam board/whatever you put under it shouldn't matter too much since it'll be covered. Make sure it isn't too dark though, or it might show through a little. You should be able to find foam board at an office supply store and the craft foam at an art store. Places like Michaels usually sell the individual sheets in a bunch of colors.

Haha, no problem!

Thanks for all the help! It's a good thing that somebody had made their last post here, it won't let me into the forums unless I click on the last thread somebody posted on in that section, dunno why.

^w^ I love this thread xD
Thank you so much Pawpee for your lovely little tutorial
That was gonna be my next question <3 question is, how do i fit them around a pair of existing headphones?
Im ordering a special headset with a voice changer feature for my rin, to make my voice higher pitched and more digitized, simply because my voice is deeper than hers and its a cool effect,
and once i get them, ill be modifying them to look like rin's headphones. But i have to get them to go around the existing headphones which arent as big as rin's headphones and make sure they dont slide around.

2) the band on the headphones is black owo; what should i do to make it white? Should i just paint it? or is there a better way?

and 3) Im a little stumped on the bow part. I wanted to make a little bow and just attatch it to the top of my headset so i dont have too many different things strapped onto my head. (Ribbon, wig, and headset would be a little much owo What should i make the bow out of so its still soft but stays in shape? xD I tried to tie a ribbon around my head the other day and notice it just kinda flopped down and i want it to stay up >w<;

Okay im done bombarding this place with my noobish questions....for now >w<; the only thing I've ever made for cosplay really was my chii ears, and i have a feeling im gonna need very much help on this.....

For kaiko/kaito, what kind of fabric would you use for the jacket?
Also, I'm going to stick with the Wisp wig from Cosworx, but I'm not sure what color I should get it.

Interested in a cute animal hat? Maybe a Vincent plushie, Sesshomaru plushie, or an Edward Elric pillow?

Haggling possible.

@Syriiana
You're welcome! Glad I could help some people out.

You could try to make a mold around your headphones with foam that makes them look more like Rin's D shaped ones. So cut out the D shape, and hollow out where the headphones will sit inside and glue/tape it on.

And I used Heat N' Bond interfacing to make my sister's bow and I hot glued it to her headband.

To get it into a bow I cut out a shape that looked like a rectangle tapered at each end and bunched it at the middle. Held it together with hot glue and some stitches with white thread. I can make a quick picture if you need a better idea of what the shape looks like.

hmm for the wigs I suggest Blue Moon color under Sepia (thats the colors Wisp comes in)
as for the jacket, I really dont know umm I've seen some people use PVC/pleather when they want it to look shiny
but other than that, sorry X3

Practice making it with some paper and it should make more sense.
