Wow, I haven't been in this thread for a LONG while! Anyhoo, I think I'm going to kill myself because I want to make this Miku costume by next year. Yey Miku~ Thing is, I have NO sewing skill whatsoever, other then putting on velcro on a suit and knowing how to hem things. Hahahaha, but I'm gonna try anyway! >:U *Is determined*

Touchmon, you could do Coward Montblanc, which would fit with your Mozaik Role.

I'm planning on doing Matyryoshka Gumi, but only because I bought a Gumi wig awhile back and when I cut the bangs I cut them WAY too short, so when I wear the wig I need to pull it forwards in order to not look completely stupid, and when I do that you can see my hair in the back so why not have a hood covering it? c:

There are a couple of issues:

>The headband on the headphones broke sometime during shipping and the microphone on them is a complete derp (it won't stay up near my mouth) Still trying to decide whether I should try to fix it or just get new ones.
>The arm and legwarmers were made too big - but all I need to do is find more safety pins to fix that.
>My wig still needs styling. Always xD
>Aaaand I need some props. Preferably his keytar, but I haven't the money to commission that right now Hopefully I'll get it sometime in the future.

But despite that, I absolutely love this costume! It's everything I hoped it would be ^3^
I'm excited. Hopefully I'll be wearing this for AWA. I'll update you guys with progress.

Okay. So, thanks to a suggestion from solstis and endorsement of the idea from an awesome friend of mine, I've decided to shoot for Cantarella KAITO. My only issue is that, of course, I can't sew, so I'm once again forced to pay money for an outfit(curse my failing eyesight!)

It's from COSPLAY-FU. I haven't really heard much of them, though they do have a YouTube channel showcasing most of their stuff, including this. Still, I'm kinda leary about getting it.

For some reason, it's not letting me post the link to the site that has the outfit I'm talking about, so I'm at a loss. Nonetheless, I still want opinions from you all on whether or not I should attempt it...given that I'm not the right color and all.

So I'm getting read y to (hopefully) start on Luka's default outfit, but I have no idea what to do in terms of patterns. Especially for the top. I've made my own patters before, but the to just looks too complicated for me to do that. Can anyone give me some advice? Also, is her outfit black or brown? I can never quite tell...

Sorry, I'm not very good with patterns so I can't help you with that... BUT I'm pretty sure her outfit is black and that's what most people go with anyways. ^^;;

What about it looks complicated? It looks to me like a tank top turtle neck that just sweeps out a bit at the bottom. It looks more like the detailing on the top that are complicated, rather than the pattern itself.

I guess I should have said a little more about how I wanted to do it. I was hoping to make her top as a jacket that zips up. I don't know if that make a difference pattern wise, I'm really kind of stuck. I'm sure it doesn't seem that hard to all you guys, but I'm still pretty new a sewing, and curves kind of freak me out.

It really doesn't make a difference; you just cut it down the middle and sew a zipper into it (with proper hemming of course, bla bla bla). And the curves shouldn't be hard, either, especially because you're most likely going to be sewing bias tape on it anyway, so you don't even have to worry about hemming it.

I'm just starting on Miku in her ARiA PV (But I read somewhere it's not Miku in the video does it still count as a vocaloid cosplay? o.o)

I fell in love with the design and the song first time I saw and heard it! I already have one of the rings floating over her head finished. I'm getting a friend to help me make the actual costume since as of now I can only make things out of card board xD

BRS is not Miku....... But now there are versions of all the vocaloid as BRS >_<;;;;
so IMP in this vid, this isn't Miku mainly because she has brown eyes which says to me she wasn't ment to be Miku to start with. But it is a cute outfit :3

In the discussion about ARiA, I don't think it is Miku but the main character of the PV. I think it would still count as a Vocaloid cosplay even though the character isn't a vocaloid. For example, the boy in JBF or the main girl from Imagination Forest. Both aren't vocaloids but are still considered "vocaloid cosplays"

As for BRS, BRS was never Miku. She was her own character that ended up looking a bit like Miku and Miku sings the BRS song so that's why people assumed she was a Miku derivative. As for the other Vocaloids as BRS characters, I think all of it is fanart of what the characters would look like with BRS clothes and such.
