Reliable sources for Gold/yellow contacts
Oh, the joys of shopping for colored contacts....
Since I can't afford lenses that come in my perscription, I've decided to get some non-powered colored lenses (and just wear my glasses while walking around at conventions....which is fine with me because I can just take them off for photos) After much researching and browseing on the web, I've decided that I want to get a pair of Angelic Yellow lenses for one of my cosplays. They're the right color and opaque enough for what I need (and other cosplayers have commented that they're a good choice) However, I'm debating on where to order them from. Here's one site that I haven't heard anything about, but it's the cheapest I could find ($30 per lense): http://www.hauntedeyes.com/angelic-yellow.html And here's a site that looks more reliable, but slightly more expensive ($35 per lense): http://www.visiondirect.com/la/produ...atid=10898&trx has anybody ordered from either of these sites or know any better sites to order from? I know cosplaylab has them for $80, but I'm trying to be as cost-efficiant as I can....(but safe at the same time) another thing: the contacts I want are only available with a 8.6 base curve and 14.5 diameter.....but my perscription is a 8.7 base curve and 14.4 diameter....would I still be able to wear contacts like those?

I have the same exact question as you! I found some sites though that I have questions about. I hope you don't mind me posting this as my question too. I found these sites for gold/yellow contacts and I'd appreciate opinions. If you think it was incredibly rude of me to post a part of my question I'm so sorry. =( I don't mean to be.

I've ordered from vision direct with good results. I like the colored contacts I got and didn't have any issues with ordering.
I got prescription contacts, but the base curve and diameter were different from my usual contacts. When I first tried them on, I could feel them a bit (not really uncomfortable, but while I never feel my usual contacts, I could tell I was wearing contacts when I put them in). But when I wore them at the convention, I didn't even notice them anymore. I wouldn't worry about the curve or diameter being slightly different, you might not even notice a difference - I bought ones with an 8.6 curve, but I usually wear 8.3, whereas you only have a .1 difference

I can't comment about either of the websites but I can coment on the base curve issue. I went to the optomitrist (specifically because I was getting contacts for cosplay) and apperently on one of my eyes the diameter(16) is different than the standard colored contact diameter(14.5). I made sure to ask him about that and he said it was fine. When I wear contacts I can kinda feel the one in the eye that has a bigger diameter (it dosen't hurt at all), and if I close my eyes all the way and open them slowly the contact moves a little. Hope that helps.

thanks for all the help everyone! :3 (I think VisionDirect will be the best choice)
I went to my eye doctor, and he said it would be ok to as long as I didn't wear them for too long. Edit: Horray! I ordered my contacts and they look great!: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1623868/ They don't hurt my eyes and were shipped really fast. Vision Direct was a good choice to order from :3

I have a question I'm cosplaying as Hazama from Blazblue for UB Con and out of the yellow contacts from visiondirect.com what would be the best to get: Yellow Angelic, Yellow Zombie, or Zombie Yellow?
