Adding bangs to a wig

I think I may have saw this asked in a thread before, but I no longer see the thread and I can't find a webpage with a tutorial... just how does one go about adding bangs to a wig? Is it as I fear, that you have to sort of sew all the hairs into the wig? I really wish I could have just bought a wig with bangs, but I'm making a wig for Akio of Shoujo Kakumei Utena, so I have to make extra long bangs. ;P

It's much easier to cut bangs into a wig than to try to add them using additional hair.

I used amphogory's tutorial cutting bangs into my showgirl wig, and they came out pretty good.
