I don't really think my mom minds it, or rather, when she asked me "So, who are you going to cosplay next?" I mentioned some male characters(referred to them as "he/him") she didn't seem to mind.
In progress: Aoba Suzukaze (New Game) | CATS (Zero Wing)
Possible plans: Chiaki Nanami (Dangan Ronpa) | Game Gear (Sega Hard Girls) | Namco (Consolers) | Undyne (Undertale) My webcomic, Consolers. It's about game companies

I was truly unsure as to how to respond to that. THAT IS WHAT SHE SAID, I kid you not.
You're mom is cool.
Fo' shizz.

As for this topic....
My mom really hated it at first. She was really at the point of making me go read the Bible when I told her I was going to crossplay Linebeck.(She was not too happy to come home to find me with a mustache and beard painted on my face.) She apparently thought I was seriously thinking about becoming a man...? I don't even know. My step-dad thought it was funny, and my real dad thought it was wierd. I was in the car with him and told him I was going to be Link for a convention and he said I should be Zelda instead because Zelda is a girl and I'm a girl.

Well then. But my mom's fine with it now. I think.... And my dads think it's neat now since they've actually seen me dressed up. She still gets really excited when I pick characters that wear big poofy dresses.(It was still just Chibitalia, so it was technically still a crossplay.) xD

My parents and people I know don't care, my crossplay characters are so funny. And both wear masks and rather baggy clothes. DX So it's not such a huge change I guess.
Next costumes:
Journey Traveler
Calne Ca human ver.
Prince Alphie

Mum hates it and insists I should cosplay chicks instead of dudes. She also thinks my crossplaying supports her idea that I'm a dyke and I lez it out with all my fellow crossplaying friends. Her exact words were "You better not be lesbian or I'm going to beat the gay out of you." :T

Dad doesn't know only cause I barely talk to him, and my gma is sorta wierded out but helps me buy cloth and such anyways.

My dad is incredibaly helpful and supportive. He even helped bind me down for an edward elric cosplay. He was even willing to cosplay as Hoenheim from FMA with me! My mom on the other hand hates it, but at least my dad tells her to lay off.

My family will call me weird. But then when they saw me in my Hunter costume they thought it was amazing because I looked just like my younger brother :/

My mom actually prefers me crossplaying, pfft. Crossplaying= guys, so she doesn't have to worry about short skirts/ shorts, stomach showing shirts, or low cut necklines...MOST of the time. (Some male characters make me wonder, rofl. ) Not that I would do characters like that anyway, she just feels better about it, lol.

Before I said that I don't really talked to my parents about cosplay or crossplay.
During winter break, I finally let my mom see my cosplay pictures (both Fem!Prussia & Succession!Austria)

Mom: *looks at Succession!Austria*...well...that's pretty good.
Me: Yeah....and these were when I was at Taiwan...*showing photo of Fem!Prussia*
Mom: *stares at Fem!Prussia photo* this is a guy, too?
Me:................Mom...I was wearing a mini-skirt.......

Yeah... She is fine with crossplay, but I just don't understand why she would think my Fem!Prussia is a guy....=___=|||
2011 Con:
Anime Expo 2011

Cosplay Working On:
Duchy!Prussia - 100%
Old Fritz - 80% (going to put this aside for now)
Fem!Prussia (canon) - 70% (just need coat)
Barnaby Brooks Jr. (from T&B) - 45%

dunno about my dad but my mom would act like i was silly if she knew.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and occasionally it will become necessary to give a misinformed beholder a black eye.

I'm pretty sure my mom would be more surprised if I cosplayed as a female character. My mom's only response to my request for a pair of boxers was "In jeans like that, they'll just ride up and be uncomfortable. You're better off with briefs".

my dad couldnt give half a shit for my cosplaying in general. but my mom usually get mad when i walk out of my room in a guys costume. and my sister just calls me a geek and laughs. my grandma on the other hand... supports me all the way. she is always the one helping me (thanks grandma! ^.^) but i've always cosplayed as guys. my mom doesnt care much anymore. as long as i dont cut my hair short its all good with her.

My mum hates it. She found my compression top and cut it up. I told her why i want to crossplay guys but she thinks its coz i wanna be a guy. I think i need to hide my costume peices better.
